“Perfect Stay”

Reviewed 28 Nov 2016

Had a wonderful time staying at Cider Presse Cottage. with 2 dogs and 4 adults. From the very beginning Sue was very accommodating and friendly. The whole process of booking ran very smoothly. The cottage itself was in a lovely setting, close to the forest and some lovely walks with the dogs. It had 3 really spacious rooms. 2 king size beds and a twin room. And 2 decent sized bathrooms. With all of us in the cottage it was more than spacious enough to not be tripping over each other. The cottage was spotless and came with all of the equipment and mod cons you could need. The garden is enclosed so dogs could go out without the worry of them getting into bother. Sue very kindly had tea, milk, coffee and biscuits (both dog and human) for us on arrival as well as a lovely bunch of flowers. Those little thoughtful touches were very welcomed. As was the lovely kind thought of a gift basket for my dad's birthday (the reason we were there) which was greatly appreciated. There was a lovely village shop about 10 min drive away which sold everything you could need (great cakes). This is one of the best cottages we have stayed in(and we've been in a few) and we will definitely return.

Had a lovely stay at Cider Press Cottage. Welcomed by Sue, whom left a lovely welcome hamper including doggie biscuits! Thank you for that, went down well with all. 4 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs had plenty of room. Well thought out for cleaning muddy dogs , hosing area outside and very large entrance with matting down, keeps dirt contained. We were left alone , but advise was on hand if needed. We were warm and comfortable, with everything provided, sugar, milk, salt, to name just a few. Very peaceful area and nice and dark at night , lots of lights if needed. Decent TV and player. Broadband a challenge! Our children are 5 & 3 , we felt a very safe environment for them just bring soft shoes or slippers for stairs, they are not steep but wooden. Lots of hot water anytime of day. Would recommend.
