Location description from owner

The South Wales region

Caswell Bay is on the edge of the Gower Peninsular, Britain's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is a coastal area with a large sandy child-friendly beach, rock pools and caves. It is also part of the Welsh coastal path and offers some lovely coastal walks. There are a number of other lovely bays and beaches close to Caswell Bay.

Bishopston

Caswell Bay offers entertainment for all ages. Aside from the lovely, golden sand, it's a great place for swimming, with the beach patrolled by lifeguards during peak holiday times. If you'd like to learn to surf, there's a surf school on the beach offering classes for all levels and ages (from 8yo+). At low tide the rockpools are lots of fun, as are the small caves at the side of the beach which are rumoured to be where smugglers stashed their loot.

Overlooking the beach are a cafe, offering light meals and drinks, and a kiosk where you can buy ice creams, sweets, some hot snacks and beach toys.
