La Amapola apartment is fully equipped for self-catering and has been lovingly restored and finished to a high standard. This apartment has the living area and shower room with WC on the ground floor with the 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor. The open plan kitchen and lounge area turn a very rustic building in to a modern feeling home whilst maintaining features like the slate floors, stone walls and wooden beams in keeping with the building. There is a double and a triple bedroom, large living area with wood burning stove, kitchen and a shower room with WC. It also benefits from it's own private walled patio with shading for those hot summer days over part of the patio.La Amapola along with La Mariposa and La Chiquita are part of Molino Felix, a historic mill located alongside the river Gor on the doorstep of the Sierra de Baza. Within easy access to the A92N you will be perfectly situated for exploring this beautiful region of Andalucia. Whether it be an adventure holiday, a relaxing get-away or even looking for your dream home, Molino Felix is the ideal place to stay. It's just a 3 minute walk to the quiet Spanish village of Gor where the locals are friendly and the tapas are always superb!The Sierra de Baza National Park is fantastic for wildlife lovers, with unique pine trees and vast array of birds. There is a visitors centre with information about walking trails and mountain bike routes to follow. Within the surrounding areas there are plenty of different types of adventurous activities such as go karting, quad biking, skiing and water sports on the nearby freshwater lake etc. We will be happy to help arrange any day trips you might like to enjoy.

Beautiful, comfortable lovingly converted watermill Perfect for a very relaxing getaway. We had the place to ourselves which was a real bonus, the only sound was that of the birds. The pool and the garden area was beautifully kept with tables, chairs and sun lounges spread throughout. Its a short stroll in to the village of Gor with its one tapas bar that serve lovely evening meals for very little Euros, there's also a small shop and bakery. Easy drive to the stunning lake Negratin with is lovely clear warm water. Many thanks to Marc and Sam for a lovely stay and for all the helpful info.

Just had a week in La Amapola with my husband and 3 grown up children. We had a wonderful time and particularly enjoyed the peaceful setting. The table tennis kept the family happy whilst I enjoyed the sunbathing with the odd dip in the small pool. The tapas bar in the village was fab and good value and we had a great trip to the Alhambra and the nearby Lake Negratin which was spectacular. Recommended for great scenery, lovely climate (comfortable at night) and friendly owner and locals.

La Amapola exceeded our expectations and was the perfect spot to spend our honeymoon! We enjoyed having a fully-serviced kitchen to prepare our own meals and loved having a private patio (partially shaded with grape vines) to enjoy our meals, a glass of wine, and a good book. The grocery store, bakery, butcher shop, and pubs in Gor (a 5 minute walk) had everything that we needed. With quick access to the highway, trips to Granada and the ocean were easy. Local attractions, such as Lake Negratin, are also must-sees. Marc and Sam are wonderful hosts -- always friendly, very knowledgeable about the local area, and eager to involve guests in cultural activities. Great value!

Ideal location - a couple of minutes walk to the local village where you can still get great tapas with every drink you order and only about an hour from both Almeria airport and Granada/Alhambra Palace by car. Sam and Marc were very welcoming, and we enjoyed relaxing in the garden, where our two boys had fun in the pool and on the trampoline, and playing table tennis. The Alhambra palace is only about an hour away by car, and is definitely worth a visit - best to book online before you go.

Peaceful just what we needed. Swimming pool few minutes walk away in the village. Easy access to surrounding areas ie. thermal baths, market and not too far from Granada if you want to sightsee.. 3 pubs and cafes in the village serving excellent wines and food. Restuarant nearby if you don't want to cook although the Amapola is well equipped with all that you would need.
