“A welcome haven in snow topped mountains” We arrived to a warm greeting from Mark who had already warmed our appartment with a roaring fire in the log burner. The next day we awoke to snow but were warm and cosy .
Indeed the log burner was only needed as a substitute for the central heating the cost for which was included in the rent.
The owners live on site but were totally unobstrusive yet available if required. This was virtually unnecessary as all appliances and services (wifi and sat. tv.) all performed constantly and well.
The property has a lovely location, just a few minutes walk to the village and ten minutes by car to the motorway network. Guadix , 20 minutes drive provides all major supermarkets and shops with easy parking and excellent bus services and a train station.
Overall this is a beautiful clean welcoming well fitted apartment at a great value price.
Mark and Sam should be justifiably proud of the deal and welcome which they offer.
A lovely place. Ideal for those wishing a quiet and peaceful break from everyday life.
We had a great time, exploring the surrounding area and relaxing away from it all. The cave house was cool - a great relief from the heat of the sun. it was well appointed, though in some areas a little tired and in need of some tender loving care, such as missing mosaic tiles, some loose fittings in the bathroom and kitchen appliances that could be replaced. that said, we enjoyed our time there. the staff were friendly and helpful, the whole area being well looked after. we would certainly go again. …
Beautiful, comfortable lovingly converted watermill Perfect for a very relaxing getaway. We had the place to ourselves which was a real bonus, the only sound was that of the birds. The pool and the garden area was beautifully kept with tables, chairs and sun lounges spread throughout.
Its a short stroll in to the village of Gor with its one tapas bar that serve lovely evening meals for very little Euros, there's also a small shop and bakery.
Easy drive to the stunning lake Negratin with is lovely clear warm water.
Many thanks to Marc and Sam for a lovely stay and for all the helpful info. …

Malutka Fairy's Cave House of Dreams
A beautiful welcoming cave house to return to each day.
The cave house was as fascinating and beautiful as I hoped it would be. The amenities were excellent and the owner Malutka, wonderfully helpful and engaging. We felt totally at home and the beautiful artifacts and furnishings in the cave just added to the whole experience. Baza is a good base if like ourselves you want to explore this region which is a treasure culturally and historically. The Alti plano and surrounding mountain ranges provide the most varied and frequently gob-smacking scenery I've ever seen. …
Cuevas Del Cipres
Stylish and peaceful
We took our son, daughter-in-law and 3 year old grandson with us and had a fabulous time. The cave house was very comfortable and well equipped. The only downside was the lack of local facilities and restaurants, although we were able to use the swimming pool at the local hotel 5 mins away thanks to a quick phone call from Matt. They had closed at the end of September but as the weather was so good decided to keep it open for us. Matt was very helpful if we had any queries - our little man loved his holiday house. …
