Cosy, quiet apartment - sunshine aplenty

Very similar experience to others. We stayed mid-December to mid-January. We were very fortunate that the weather was settled - no rain at all(which is a joy when compared to how cold and rainy our part of the UK is). Dougal was fantastic, and very responsive in his messages. Apartment was nicely spacious for the 2 of us. We enjoyed the sun terrace during the day from 10-3. Night times were colder and we had a blanket over our legs in the evening. Bed linen and towels were plentiful. Wifi was superb - I worked using my laptop for 2 of the weeks, and no issues. The TV has been upgraded since previous reviews so we were able to sign in to our Google account and stream our Ultraviolet collection with no issues at all. That was very useful indeed. Beach is only a 10 minute walk, but a car is definitely useful to get to larger supermarkets etc. I concur with the previous review that the kitchen could do with a refresh, but we were able to cook and wash clothes so no problem [Dougal even arranged for a clothes airer which we could put on the sun terrace]. What would I have appreciated knowing otherwise? We needed a quilt/more blankets for the nights. It was 20-25 degrees in the day, but down to as cold as 5 or 6 degrees some nights. We needed to quickly replenish the supplies of soap, cleaning cloths, toilet paper etc. But, to be fair, for the price, we realised that it was no issue at all. Some self catering (especially in the UK) provide everything you need to get started, but that does come at an included cost really; a week in the UK was the same price as a month here! The agent who passed the key gave us little information, so when we entered the apartment, it was dark with the shutters down, and the electricity needed to be turned on at the fuses. Fortunately, these days your mobile has a torch! It would have been useful to have known where to find them - it wasn't hidden, but while your eyes are adjusting you need a torch. Lovely clean apartment in a great central location. Wonderful hosts

We came in February for a 4 week stay and even through we were a little early Dolores and her husband came immediately to let us in. The apartment is in a great location, close to a large shopping mall, loads of bars, restaurants and shops. We loved the beach only being a 5 minute walk away and the Thursday market is just around the corner. The apartment has all the comforts of home, 3 good size bedrooms, a decent sized lounge / diner and two bathrooms. We liked the décor and the homely feel of the apartment. The kitchen has a great range of cooking equipment and the 15 minute wash cycle on the washing machine was great for freshening up our shorts and tee shirts. The hosts had put a great deal of thought and effort into providing the things you need for a stress free arrival day, even a bowl of fresh oranges. Would I recommend this apartment, YES (in fact I've just booked to come back next year.) I didn't want to do this review as now you will all know how great this place is. Excellent stay

The villa was just what we wanted, the layout was perfect for us and the outside space ideal. The air con was the best part of the house and you really do need it in the summer months.
