Hear the waves in this Aptos vacation home across the street from the neighborhood beach entrance to the Seacliff and Pot Belly beaches.

2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths - sleeps 6, with California king bed, queen bed, a pull out queen sofa bed in the living-room and a twin inflatable mattress. New fully equipped kitchen, remodeled bathrooms and an outdoor warm shower. The house has washer and dryer, cable TV, WiFi, DVD player, stereo with CD player, and lots of movies, books, and games. Just bring your bathing suit. Everything else is provided: linens, beach towels, chairs, umbrella and toys.

Also included are - CA state park vehicle pass to visit over 20 local state parks and 2 member guest passes to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Save time by skipping the long line and using the member entrance!

Just 50 steps from the front door is the famous Beachgate Path where you can take a leisurely walk to Seacliff Beach, with miles of sand, picnic tables and esplanade. Walk down a very pictures Beachgate path or, if you have too many beach things, drive 0.2mi and use provided California State Park pass for a free access and parking. Seacliff beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the area. It is wide, 19+ miles long, and in low tide you can walk 1.5 mi to Capitola. Spend quiet weekdays swimming, boogie boarding and surfing with just the dolphins, whales, seals and shorebirds to keep you company.

This is a great location for visiting Monterey, Carmel, Capitola, Santa Cruz, 17 Mile Drive or just relaxing on the beach. You are just a short drive to numerous attractions: famous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Gizdich Ranch for berry picking in Watsonville, over 30 wineries to taste award winning wines, Capitola village for shopping or dining on the sand, Moss Landing for some kayaking or whale watching, or Monterey Bay Aquarium. Santa Cruz county has great restaurants with the beach feel, from Stagnaros on the Wharf, Crows Nest on the beach, Sea Harvest Fish Market & Restaurant in Moss Landing, Cafe Sparrow and Cafe Cruz.

CasaMareAptos is a duplex. The upstairs apartment is never rented; it's our second home and we, a semi-retired couple, use it on weekends. The house architecture provides total privacy; with guest having an exclusive use of the downstairs, back/side yards, outdoor shower and the BBQ, 2 car driveway. The downstairs apartment has a separate entrance through the private side yard.

We know that your vacation is important to you and so we do our best to insure that you find our home to be a pleasant place to enjoy local attractions, ocean beaches, and your time to relax and unwind away from the everyday. Casa Mare is our second home. We spend weekends (sometimes long ones since we love it here so much more than the hectic Silicon Valley) in the upstairs apartment. Our kids are grown so it’s just the two of us. We are available to answer any questions and to share our favorite places to visit and eat at. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Casamareaptos (the owner) a message.

If Casamareaptos (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
