This big, beautiful villa, called VILLA dei SIGNORI, is the ideal choice for a group of friends or family wanting to have a dream vacation on the Amalfi Coast. It has a special ambiance and offers a wonderfully enjoyable experience of the Amalfi Coast and its charms. Thrilling views throughout!
It is located in the center of Furore, one of the beloved smaller villages of the Coast between the larger villages of Positano and Amalfi. A very convenient location to anything you wish to see and do. The beaches and public dock of the Village of Amalfi are only a 17 minute drive away, and Positano is 30 minutes.
This stately home is situated within a huge landscaped garden of abundant flowers and fruit trees, a gazebo with ceramic dining table, and a big pool with surrounding deck.
To quote one of our past guests who captured the experience so well, "the villa is very well set up and run in a thoughtful and personal way with many nice touches and luxuries. The terraced gardens are a treasure trove of fruits and vegetables; lemons, plums, and pomegranates to name a few. The pool is saltwater, very well run, with stunning Coastal views."
The bedrooms are distributed on 3 floors (levels) - each floor with its own entrance to the garden.
The "Main bedroom Level" has 3 queen-bedded rooms and 1 French-bedded room, and the top floor or "Roof Level" has a French-bedded room and a queen-bedded room. This makes a total of 6 bedrooms. (The Pool Apt, which is a 7th bedroom, is not being offered in 2020).
Here is the recap : 4 bedrooms with queen(matrimonial) beds and 2 bedrooms with "French beds". French beds are over-sized single beds which are very comfortable for 1 adult or 2 small children.
There is an en-suite bath to 1 of the queen-bedded rooms. The other 3 full baths are either adjacent or across from the other bedrooms.
On the Main Floor where the Main Entrance is, you will find the gracious Living-Dining room, a large, well-equipped kitchen, and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open onto the evocative blue-tiled balcony.
There is another kitchen-dining room in the Top Floor (Roof level). This top floor is charming but more simply decorated than the rest of the villa. It has skylights which provide lots of light and air and a view of the mountains, but no windows facing the sea.

From the pool, the garden, and the several wonderful terraces and balconies you have a spectacular view of the sea and the marvelous coastline.
A very special feature of the property is a bistro-like structure in the garden, that we called "the Cottage", which houses an authentic wood-fired oven, cooktop, and BBQ.
Many visitors to the Amalfi Coast seek out venues to have pizza-cooking lessons. At Villa dei Signori you can have a pizza-cooking party right in your own backyard!
The gates to the property are only 35 steps from the road above (where you park). There are an additional 40 steps alongside the exterior of the villa from which you can enter to each floor. There are another 20 steps to the Pool and the Pool apartment. There is a total of 65 steps from the main gate to the pool level.
Parking is very nearby, along the road above and almost always free.
Villa dei Signori is nestled in the heart of the historic village of Furore - well-known for its friendly and hospitable residents no less than for its famous wines. It offers a uniquely warm and local feeling and a glimpse into the authentic traditions of the Coast..
Essential shops including a great grocery store carrying wine, local produce and prepared foods, a casual restaurant and enoteca, and a full-service coffee bar are within easy walking distance. Some of the Coast's beloved country restaurants are within a 5 minute drive, including the well-known Marisa Cuomo winery and restaurant.
The village of Amalfi and several of the Coast's best beaches are less than 20 minutes away. In Amalfi you'll find a wonderful array of restaurants, services, and historical sites including the Cathedral and Cloister, and the ancient Papermill Museum. At the dock of Amalfi the public boats and ferries ply the waters to Positano, Capri, Sorrento, Salerno and some of the smaller villages along the Coast.
By car, Praiano is 20 minutes away and Positano 30 minutes.
The bus stops within 50 meters of the property. If you don't want to use your car all the time you can hop on the bus and be in Amalfi Village in 20 minutes. It's very convenient.
Villa dei Signori is user-friendly and very safe for young children.
