“A beautiful old house (the highest house in Tarn) with spectacular views and the right degree of isolation.” Our 6th stay at Mille Founs and possibly the best yet (all so good it's hard to judge). Tranquility epitomised!! Improvements to the house this year are excellent - WiFi so essential nowadays; new satellite TV with access to BBC/ITV and good stock of DVD's - sad but comforting for cooler evenings. All pretty perfect for us......so "here's to the next time"!

“Beautiful, well equipped home with direct river access” The spacious, well equipped house accommodated our party of 8 comfortably. We were an extended family group ranging from teenagers to their grandparents and the facilities suited us perfectly. The pool is large, clean and set in attractive grounds with views of the mountains. There is a range of indoor and outdoor seating for dining and relaxing with plenty of communal space for a large group. The pretty town of Ceret, with its wide range of cafes and restaurants, is about a twenty minute walk away. The supermarket, which sells pastries and fresh baguettes is only a two minute walk - very convenient! The highlight of our stay was the river, which can be accessed directly down a private path from the back of the house. The teenagers loved swimming, climbing over rocks and flinging themselves off into the water, while their parents and grandparents paddled in the shallows and enjoyed watching from the shade. Finally, Stephen replied to all our queries very quickly and provided all the information we needed so the booking and admin side of things was very smooth too. Thank you Stephen and Sarah for a wonderful holiday.

“For the first time in 35 years we did not want to go home” Beautiful gite in a lovely location. Attentive but discrete owners. Fantastic views. Loads of history and outdoor activities. Good place to sample a wide range of really good food from Michelin starred restaurants to Les Routiers.

“The best villa we have stayed in.” We have stayed in this villa many times. The location is beautiful surrounded by vineyards and lovely views over the village and surrounding countryside. the quiet and relaxing location is only an easy drive to many beautiful beaches. It is equipped to a very high standard with really comfy beds and top quality bed linen and towels. It is spotlessly clean and looked after by Jeanne and David who have always been extremely helpful (speaking French and English). It is a short stroll to the village, which has a supermarket, doctors, filling station, bakers, (for those lovely morning croissants),swimming pool, tennis courts etc. The villa's heated pool is always a lovely treat, well maintained by David. We would recommend this villa very highly for all ages for a perfect stay.

“A lovely property set in a beautiful area to explore at your leisure.” We were made very welcome by our hosts Steve & Andrea. They made suggestions of the best places to visit & always had time to have a friendly chat. The cottage was delightful with everything you need to self cater if you wish. It was lovely to come back after a hot day and have drinks & a swim in the spotless pool. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 'Les Fontaines' & would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in a beautiful, peaceful area with lots to see & do only a short drive away. “A week wasn't long enough !!” As we pulled into the driveway, i was sure we were in the wrong place. The pictures we'd seen didn't do it justice but thankfully, we'd arrived at our destination and it just got better from then on. Blancou is a beautifully and lovingly restored farmhouse with oodles of charm and character - both indoors and out. Set in gorgeous and well maintained gardens, with views stretching for miles in all directions, it provided us with everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable family holiday. When we arrived, the Famhouse was immaculately clean and Alison was on hand to welcome us, walk us through the house and show us where everything we'd need was. The Farmhouse (and garden) is spacious enough to allow everyone to enjoy their own space if they want to whilst, at the same time, being the sort of space that allows and encourages you to come together for social activities, such as cooking, eating and just enjoying good company. During our week, we all became table-tennis demons (there's a table tennis table there) as well as experts in identifying the various herbs that grow in the garden. On the days that we could drag ourselves away from relaxing around the pool, we made the most of exploring the surrounding countryside including the local market town, canoe-ing down the river and enjoying the spectacular views along the Gorge. At night, with no light pollution to interfere with them, we enjoyed the most beautiful starry skies. All of us were sad when our holiday came to an end. In a short space of time, we'd grown very fond of Blancou and didn't want to leave. And that's why we'll be returning next year. We can't wait :-) p.s. IF we had anything negative to say about our week, the weather could have been a little bit better BUT nobody could do anything about that and it didn't do anything to lessen our overall enjoyment.

“happy days away” Our party of 7 stayed at Villa Amelie over New Year and found it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was a great base for our skiing trips up to Font Romeu and Andorra and on our rest days we thoroughly enjoyed eating lunch on the terrace in the sunshine! We thought the kitchen was well kitted out for a large group and loved the induction hob and big fridge freezer. The house was very child-friendly and our kids enjoyed the toy bricks, games and videos provided. Thanks to Heather for helpfully answering our many questions prior to our stay. We will definitely be back!

“A peaceful and beautiful place to relax and unwind.” We were warmly welcomed to La Pendarie and had a most enjoyable week exploring the area (mostly on bikes) and relaxing by the stunning pool. Our hosts ensured our comfort at all times but did not intrude in any way. The gardens were beautiful, particularly the lavender alongside the pool and the extensive views fabulous........it was a really lovely place to stay.
