A lovely, relaxing week at La Vielle Maresque. Perfectly placed for visiting Albi, Cordes sur Ciel and other beautiful towns. Danielle and Jean Marc were very friendly, welcoming hosts. This place is absolutely beautiful.Sean and his family is very friendly and helpful.Anything what we asking he help us immediatley.They give us reccomedations for lots of nice place for visit.We spend in Sunny Trek amazing time ,weather was just perfect for all our time there and our kids they was over the moon with pool in garden.House have evertything what you need for holiday.Best moment for me wake up 8 am morning and drinking coffee in the garden where you hear the sound of brook.I recommend everybody who want spend lovey time with family in lovely place .In Sunny Trek time just slow down and you have planty time for you and your family .Thank you Sean and Your family for all this time when we can spend in yours house.We hope we can come back again ♥♥ … see more

Fantastic barn conversion in picturesque hilltop village
Best holiday

One of the best times my husband and I have had. Accomodation is excellent , countryside and surrounding towns are beautiful and Colin and Janet are two of the best , friendly people you could meet, was sad to leave. The walks are really enjoyable , and both Colin and Janet are excellent guides, and as I mentioned earlier, the gite is really well appointed, with everything you need. Stylish apartment, set within beautiful gardens
Chilled out holiday in rural Tarn region

My daughter (age 16) and I stayed here for a week this August. We were the first guests, so were excited and also a bit nervous. But owners Simon and Lara were just so welcoming, we felt at home from the very beginning! The gite is on the ground floor of their (enormous) home - which is an old textile factory. The double doors lead straight out onto the garden, so every morning we just opened the front doors and had gorgeous sunshine flooding into our room! The floors are tile, so they felt really cool as the temperatures got up to 34C - which for us northerners is a bit hot! The walls are really thick, so it kept the heat out. My daughter was impressed with the wi-fi! Labastide-Rouairoux is a small town, mainly on a high street. It has everything you would need including a great Spar. The local deli's and bakers are totally recommended. We did a lot of walking and got some ideas from Simon as where we should/could go. One thing I must say is that you definitely need a hire car, although possible everyone does this anyway as it's a drive from the airport. We flew into Beziers so the drive to the house was probably about 50 minutes or so. There's a lovely village up the road called St Pons, the weekly market there was just great! Sorry we missed the Textile Festival as I hear that is great fun!! We loved the Textile Factory museum, really fascinating insight into fabric production. Chateau Roc
A real treat - wonderful holiday and property

What an amazing two weeks, we didn't want to leave! Chateau Roc is such a unique place to stay, we loved the location, the facilities and the great attention to detail. We spent hours in the garden using the pool and hot tub and the garden room (with bar) was a great place to gather when we needed some chill out time. The property is decorated so sympathetically throughout. and had everything we needed, and more. We loved exploring some of the local towns, with plenty to see in the local area. Its also a great place to run and cycle with some challenging hills thrown in. We enjoyed popping down to swim in the river and make use of the inflatables (free of charge) and there were several restaurants and bars to relax in. We all loved the fact we were staying within the walls of a castle and it really appealed to all of our imaginations whilst gazing down on the town and heading back to 'our castle' after a trip out. Christine was so helpful and was so generous with her knowledge of the town and surrounding areas. We recommend this property wholeheartedly and hope to visit again in future years.
