“A superbly equipped and conveniently located holiday property” This bright and clean holiday property is superbly equipped with everything needed to make your stay as comfortable and effortless as possible. There is a delightful and extremely private courtyard garden, a sun trap on warm days. The house is situated a short, easy walk into the centre of Mersault, where all amenities are provided, including four very good restaurants and excellent food shops. . All the main Burgundy wine producing towns and villages are within very easy reach by car and the "wine route" through the local Burgundy vineyards - on foot or cycling - passes very close to the property. The journey by car from the UK is simple and direct using various autoroutes right from Calais to Beaune, which is less than 15 minutes straight route to Mersault. Both the owner and the property managers answered any queries very promptly and were helpful, friendly and efficient. We had a most relaxing break and would happily return to this property which we can highly recommend.
This 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms house is in a great location for visiting the Bourgogne wine region as well as day trips to Morvan and Dijon. It is a short drive to Beaune. The queen -sized beds are comfortable, the decor lovely, the WiFi reliable, kitchen is very well set up for cooking and most of all it is quiet. You will sleep well here after your day of hiking or sight-seeing. The small garden is lovely for relaxing. The owners were easy to deal with, quick to reply to our inquiry for rental and so helpful with suggestions. They also have detailed information at the house including guide books, how to use appliances, hook-up to the WiFi and even how the door locks work - which we really appreciated. The door locks are easy to operate by the way but it helped to have the instructions the first time we needed to lock the doors. We really appreciated the complimentary wine, milk and cake as we arrived on Sunday afternoon when the shops were closed. We will most definitely recommend this house to our friends and family. …
Rue Montmeix House One
A deluxe 5* retreat
We arrived for the first part of our trip to France after a long car journey from the North East of England with our Hungarian Vizsla Meg & have to admit we were pleasantly surprised about the quality of our accomodation in Meursault.
We arrived late in the evening and found the property to be perfect in every way. A welcome pack including champagne, butter, jams & mustard, hand soaps & every other concievable extra was provided. We awoke the next morning to a view of vineyards from the bedroom window & a great outdoor space of rattan furniture & a hot tub!
The village of Meursault is perfect, quaint & beautiful. I have to say all of the restaurants in the village welcomed our dog and in particular we found Le Chevreuil on our last evening to be perfect with great food & service to match if you are looking for a more formal evening.
As we explored the surrounding area we found Meursault to be ideal location for visiting the bustling Beaune & all of the wine routes within close proximity to the property.
Sampling the local wine & food is a must in this area, the vineyard in the village run by Philippe Bouzereau in the Chateau De Citeaux offers sampling & good value for money when purchasing wine.
We also met the owners & daughters who were lovely and very accommodating & we will be sure to return in the not to distant future....
We would 100% recommend this property to anyone who is thinking of visiting the area & would like to thank Mr & Mrs Brunner & girls for sharing their little piece of paradise with us. …
