“Great apartment, great location.” The apartment is certainly well located in a lovely town. A few minutes walk to the centre, and lots of famous sites to see, and things to do, including tasting wine. The apartment is up stairs, a stone spiral staircase at first, and then a flight of wooden stairs. The accommodation is very comfortable - a large living space which includes a comfortable lounge area (TV etc), dining area, and well appointed kitchen. We like to cook some meals and were able to do so with all of the cooking equipment needed, plenty of good crockery and cutlery, and of course good wine glasses.

Wonderful house in a wonderful location

We rented Cuverie de Citeaux for 2 weeks with me extended family and friends. The location is great, in a village called Savigny-les-Beaunes, which has great amenities nearby: bakeries, small supermarket, a few restaurants and of course many caves!! The house itself was well stocked and has acres of space. The pool is lovely although a little cold as it is not heated and it only catches the afternoon sun (and it could definitely benefit from some more comfortable loungers!). Jean-Pierre was very helpful and there is even a cellar where you can take some wine and pay for it at the end (in case you run out). Gorgeous gite in a gorgeous town

There were three of us in our 40s and we stayed for a week in this gorgeous house. It had everything we could want. It's spacious. The kitchen is fully stocked, so it's easy to cook at home if you want. There's also a washing machine which came in very handy. It's in a quiet location (unless church bells on the hour after 6am bother you) and convenient to everything. If you don't like/can't do stairs you'll have a problem (the house is over four floors), but we found them to be no issue at all. They're wide and easy to climb. The owner, Vivienne, is lovely and very helpful. She met us at the property and answered any questions we had about the area, restaurants and where to get a good coffee (Dix Carnot, for any Australian coffee snobs reading this). There's plenty of places to put your stuff and we never felt cramped or tripping over each other. Beaune itself is exactly what we wanted: cobble-stoned streets; medieval walled city; gorgeous architecture; great restaurants; lots of wine tasting. We didn't need the car at all; it stayed parked out the front all week (it's metered parking, but don't let that put you off, it's pretty cheap). It's a short walk/taxi ride from the train station so you could easily just get the train from Dijon or Lyon and not bother with a car. The town itself feels really safe. We walked around after dinner and never felt frightened. Things not to miss: * Hospices de Beaune, it's stunning and really interesting * Musee de Vin, learn a bit, drink a bit, what's not to like * Saturday morning food market * A picnic in Parc de la Bouzaise: ducks, water, lovely * Wine tasting at L'Ange Gardien (the lovely and very amusing Pierre entertained us for 3.5hrs, for free; although we did then buy many bottles of wine); book first by either popping in or emailing Nicole. * Dix Carnot for coffee Restaurants: * Loiseau des Vignes: It's got a Michelin star and acts like it. We booked a month in advance and asked if they catered for vegans (we had one in the group). They told us it wasn't a problem. Don't believe them, unless you like a plate of lettuce leaves drizzled in balsamic or enjoy burnt tempura vegetables as courses in a degustation. However, Foie Gras amazing; cheese trolley enormous. * Bissoh: amazing japanese (happily cater for vegans) * F&B: really great food, great service (happily create something for vegans) * Piqu'Boeuf: good food, meaty, obviously (vegans get a salad, which had to be taken back to the kitchen to have the cheese picked off ... almost got it all too); good Boeuf bourguignon. Lovely location in the heart of Burgogne

The apartment was very well equipped and within easy access to all the town of Beaune offered. Two double bedrooms with lots of storage. Good shower. Very quiet at night.
