“Absolutely Fabulous” We have previously stayed in Gites in the Loire but this one surpasses our previous experience and expectations. The gite was well equipped with modern appliances and furniture yet tasfelly updated and in keeping with the character of the gite. The facilities on site were brillant and the setting tranquil. However, the icing on the cake is the owners, Marie & Marc; they made us feel welcome right from the start. Having spent a longer than expected time travelling, it was lovely to find fresh bread, cheese, milk, tea, coffee and wine waiting for us. The provision of BBQ coals, washing powder and many other consumable items ws a first. They have a rare ability to remain out of the way yet be on hand as and when required. I really cannot praise them enough. My only concern with giving such a review is that it may not be available next time i want to book!

“Loed it, loved it, loved it.............” After travelling throughout Europe for some 8 weeks we found the villa an oasis of calm while the ease of daily sight-seeing was an added bonus. The owners were a delight and could not have done more to make us feel so very comfortable. Perfect for couples and families alike.

“Brilliant1” Marc and Marie have created the most idyllic luxurious getaway in the Loire Valley. Their gites are situated in a most tranquil area and are exceptionally well kitted out. The covered/indoor pool is clean and warm enough to use in early spring. We spent three nights there in April 2014 with our three young boys. The boys absolutely loved the place, there was plenty to do, swimming, outdoor sports and even free bikes on site. if you are on a driving holiday in France then this is a place to stop for a few days. The Loire valley and all of its destinations are on the doorstep but what really makes this place stand out is the friendly welcome and the little luxury touches.

Perfect location, perfect gite

The perfect little bolthole in a beautiful town in the southern Loire. The Gite itself was perfect and every home comfort needed for a holiday stay. Everything was clean and tidy and Stephanie spent time telling us about the local area and recommending local restaurants and places to visit, which was really helpful. She obviously has beautiful taste and the gite is well furnished and decorated. The location of the gite is within easy walking distance to the medieval city and all the lovely restaurants and vistas that Loches has to offer, whilst being close to other places of interest such as the chateaux of the Loire and Indre rivers. La Bergerie
Beautiful, quiet gite in a convenient location - the perfect get-away

My husband and I have just returned from a very relaxing holiday staying in La Bergerie. It is in an ideal place for exploring the Loire Valley, just south of Tours and a few miles West of Loches, you can visit the numerous Chateaux in either direction along the Loire, and we certainly did! The gite is some distance from the nearest shops, so you definitely need a car (or be an enthusiastic cyclist!) and it faces out over fields and a forest, so you aren't overlooked at all. Having said that, it is still close enough to a main road to be able to get places quickly and easily without having to trek for miles. The facilities are excellent, with a lovely kitchen/living/diner - we cooked nearly every night and there is plenty of equipment, including a BBQ! Plenty of hot water (a shower, no bath) and very comfortable beds. The gite has been beautifully decorated in a quirky style and very much looked after. Most of our evenings, we would sit outside and saw deer, hares, bats, frogs and even two Hoopoe (we had to google them!) as well as the owner's cat Hercule who would come and say hello. Stephanie the owner is extremely welcoming, and gave us lots of information about the local area. Her home is behind the gite, so very useful if you have any issues (not that we had any) but at enough of a distance that you don't feel like you are staying in her garden. Loches is a nice little town with all the shops, post office etc you might need. We visted the chateaux of Loches, Chenonceau, Chambord, Chinon, Amboise, Clos Luce, Chaumont and Montresor (I'm sure I've forgotten one!) and even stopped at Versailles on our way home to Reading. One of the highlights was the ZooParc de Beauval. It was a lovely zoo, with every animal you can imagine (and a baby panda while we were there). If you go, make sure you catch the bird display - It was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. Gîte La Roselière Touraine
Perfect stay to explore Loire region

We have been to quite a lot of regions in France and the Loire region has been ommitted by us for quite a while. We were looking for a property/small guesthouse that would allow us to explore the region in a weeks' time in a comfortable way accommodating a family of three (the house is enough to accommodate a family of four with two teens). Loches, centrally located, fully meets such criterion enabling the travellers to reach all the attractions in 60 min at max. The house, built 1693, fully renovated by Marina and Pierre, our hosts, with their own hands, is a real gem, absolutely charming but providing full set of modern comfort. Villa Birch (2 bedrooms)
A Great Place To Stay

Right from the start, when we were greeted by the very friendly owners, Marie and Marc, this has been by far the best gite/villa holiday we have experienced. There were four adult members in our group, and we rented a two-bedroom gite with all accommodation being on the ground floor. Plus points: • Great location - Easy to find; close to some wonderful places of interest; fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. • Very well-appointed gites - Marie and Marc have thought of everything, including free Wi-Fi and Sky TV, with lots of our English channels. Our gite was spacious and very comfortable. Many unexpected extras in the kitchen, like a food processor, garlic press, a good selection of PYREX ware, IKEA storage containers for food, and many more items. Also, I needn’t have brought things with us such as washing-up liquid, liquid hand soap for the bathrooms and kitchen, dishwasher tablets, or lighter tablets for the BBQ - because all of these things were already provided. • Welcome pack - Tea, coffee, sugar sachets, mini breakfast cereals. Fresh milk, butter, eggs, delicious local goats cheese, bread, and a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge - a lovely way to begin our stay! • Own outdoor space - We had a very pretty paved patio area, which was covered by a wisteria-laden pergola, and was furnished with a mosaic table, four chairs, and a parasol. Next to the main patio area, we also had a second patio area for the BBQ, and additional outdoor seating space. • Heated swimming pool & pool-side shower - This was a real treat! - a warm shower before getting into an equally warm swimming pool. The pool has a large and high-ceilinged glass housing, which is electrically operated to open and close it according to the weather. This means that the swimming pool can be used every day. • Comfortable sunbeds - situated on the large lawned area around the swimming pool. Also, there are parasols beside the sunbeds. • Well equipped-games room - Including a pool table, table football, ………. • Play areas for both children and the older-but-young-at-heart - There are two swing areas - one for children up to the age of ten, and another for the over tens and adults. There is also a boules pitch ………………. • Laundry facilities - situated in the games room. Negative points: There are none! We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked to go back there next year - what more can I say! … see more

We stayed in the Peuplier gite and had a most enjoyable week. The gite was furnished to a very high standard and had everything. It was like home from home.
