My husband and I stayed in this apartment as part of our overseas honeymoon. It is located in the main Piazza in Todi and everything is easily accessible. Wonderful authentic Italian restaurants, delis, cafes, shops, and events all around. The apartment is a home away from home, and an absolute delight to stay in. There was so much history, warmth, and beauty inside and out. The apartment is peaceful and serene, we sat on the balcony for ages just watching the hills and the black birds. It was spotless, and there was everything we needed, including a washing machine which was fantastic. We felt a part of Italy here. The letting agent (June) could not have been more helpful, warm, and welcoming. We can't wait to go back! …
A new house with a grand view in an olive grove just below ancient ramparts
The description of the house and olive grove reflects very much reality. The house has been recently constructed and is very solid. The house and site have a fantastic view. You ‘ll be able to find peace and quiet there. Two separate, spacious bathrooms, one with a modern shower, the other with a bath tub, both with toilets. A fireplace ! The term "garden" should be considered an understatement ; you have a whole olive grove and moutainside to yourself. The garden and grove are well maintained. Central heating (natural gas) gives great comfort. The kitchen (integrated into the dining and living room) is totally equipped. A big sun umbrella is available to give shade on the terrasse to the whole family.
The ramparts of the medieval town of Todi are just 50 m up the hill behind the grove and their north portal is about 100 m away. The old town is also rather quiet and a real jewel. Maybe ten beautiful churches, a central plaza reminiscent of a scene in Romeo and Juliet, and many other architectural attractions such as roman and etruscan walls. Also a number of good and cosy restaurants are available. In sum, we’ve spent two weeks of fantastic vacations in this house and relaxed completely. 5 stars. …
