“Can't stop thinking about my stay” I'm almost hesitant to write this review because I don't want too many people to find out about this little slice of heaven! Your hosts, Karen and Coleman, are friendly, attentive and make you feel safe, welcome and at home during your stay. The accommodations at Le Mer are lovely and simple. It's bargain for a large, comfortable and clean room. There is a/C available but I never found the need to use it - the fans and the breeze kept me comfortable throughout the night. If you felt so inclined, there's also TV and wi-fi...but you likely won't feel the need to use either that much. The living room/kitchen area was great for socializing with other guests and preparing meals (Fresh caught fish anyone?) and the BBQ pit was also appreciated. Lance's Bay is beautiful, the pictures can't do it justice. When I woke up on my first morning, a Sunday, you could hear the music from the churches across the cliffs -- it was an amazing window into everyday life in Jamaica. I went snorkeling often during my time at Le Mer - the water is relatively calm and the reefs in the bay offer some interesting sights. Within walking distance from the villa there's also a public beach if you're the type that prefers to lounge in the sand. The grounds at Le Mer are comfortable and safe. The location is a quiet escape and is ideally located if you're interested in checking out any excursions or the nightlife in Negril. “Fabulous!” Vivienne and her husband provided service that was on par with a 5 star hotel. My husband and I were picked up from the airport and installed in a beautiful home in St. Andrew. The location was 10 minutes from shopping and in line with tours to the North Coast getaways. Our accommodations offered us the privacy and serenity that we sought and the amenities were excellent. We had access to a beautiful backyard and swimming pool. Our hosts were available to provide us with assistance about transportation and about the local culture. We can't wait to return for our next trip and would recommend that anyone seeking an unforgettable vacation to definitely consider staying at Vivienne's.
