“Sev glorious weeks in a comfortable house, in the pure nature, c” Strongly recommended! In the Mango Stone Cottage I have spent seven wonderful weeks. It is the house that satisfies me as an architect too. It is very well positioned in the surrounding; you are alone, however you feel, that people are not far. The figure of the house is completing the beautiful environment. The concrete structure, stonewalls, open rafters, all made on high level. The interior is a large room and separated bathroom; kitchen is part of the terrace, looking on the river. Large doors opened on the terrace are connecting two spaces and you feel it as your living space. For me comfort ... On the terrace I live: I cook, I eat, read, relax ... from the terrace it is 15 meters into the river, from the same terrace it is about twelve comfortable minutes to the atlantic coast - Bout Sable Beach. And about one minute to the Riverside Café - I love this place with good food, good drink, and good people. I would like to share my best experience. It's authentic text, written directly on the terrace of Mango Stone Cottage, sent from the Riverside Cafe via email to a friend: "I get up at dawn, about half past six. I am not going to the bathroom, flirting with the Taberi River. People are not in sight, so I strip naked, and enters into Taberi River. It is not the hottest, but very OK. It lasts half an hour: adjust the pool on a comfortable lying, and water massages me. After a further slight modification, it works as a countercurrent flow to swim. The head is cleaned from sediments of sleep, the body encouraged. Out from the river, and is clear to me, that one cannot wipe, the goose flesh disappears. With a towel around hips and a banana in hand, I wonder what's next. Come on to take a coffe in the Riverside Cafe, and after to take a bath in warm atlantic waves. But there is a numerous possibilities what to do, I don't know, how to realize it in seven weeks.”

“Peace and Serenity in Saba” We spent four wonderful days in Flamboyant Cottage. It's the perfect place to completely unwind and recharge your batteries. With very few exceptions, we felt like the only people around, especially at night when we were serenaded by tree frogs. Saba is a beautiful island, and the view from Flamboyant Cottage is breathtaking. I never tired of looking out over the neighboring islands. In fact, I couldn't wait to wake up in the morning just to have another look. We enjoyed hiking every day. By our second day we felt like locals as we passed the same friendly people and places on our walk. The cottage is well stocked, so it's easy to prepare meals if you simply want to relax at home. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the cottage was well maintained. The pool was perfect for a refreshing dip after a hike. We look forward to a return visit.

“Week in paradise” First time to the island and the vacation was great especially with the accommodations at the Pink Sand Cottage. Perfect for the two of us and loved the views from inside and outside the house of nothing but beach and water. I'm not sure how it is other times of the year but almost every day we were the only ones on the beach. Maybe just timing but it felt as though we were the only ones on the island at times and having the peace and quiet was much needed. Thanks to Ken and adele for a great week and hope to be back soon! “The Right Place for the Right Traveler” For the adventure traveler who finds charm in the rustic, this place is a great value. Compared to resort expectations, it is thin on amenities, but I've been here twice and have always found it comfortable and very friendly. Insects are an issue, but they weren't bad enough to dampen my stay at all. It all depends on what for you equals comfort and what minimal amenities you feel you need.The best thing to do is just to call and ask questions to see if this meets your desires. It certainly met mine. The cabins were clean with nice touches and sit on the side of a hill. There is a steep climb up a path of stone stairs to the cabins, but once you are up there you are rewarded with a beautiful view of the town below and the bay beyond. I found the view along with the jungle-like setting with its many fruit trees to be inspiring and a great place to write.There generally is pleasant breeze that makes even a hot day feel comfortable, and while it can rain quite a bit at times, it is often short and it still manages to have a lot of sun. The town is noisy, often into the night, but there were also regular periods of quiet and calm. While this town is off the beaten path from some of the more well-known tourist areas, many Jamaicans I met from around the island said Port antonio and the surrounding parish of Portland is their favorite place in Jamaica. I can see why. It has interesting sights and potential adventures, and again, for the right kind of traveler this is a great deal.

“Great Place To Stay” These was our first trip to Vieques and we decided to book and stay in andrea's House and had a blast. The house is very comfortable. We were very pleased with what we found there. Very clean, fresh and beautiful place. Absolutely we will stay there again!

“This is what tropical Paradise feels like.” I originally booked this apartment for 4 nights, which quickly changed turning into 18 nights. Everything about the property exceeded my expectations that was communicated to me through the property listing. The property owner, Andrea, was prompt with her response to my calls, of course I was always calling to say hello, and thank you, never to complain, because there was never anything to complain about. I am quite finicky about the beds I sleep in, which for the most part, are never comfortable, but that wasn't the case with Andrea's property, the bed was so comfortable that I would hop in it occasionally during the daytime just to be in it. When I arrived, I was greeted with warm and friendly welcomes and smiles, which made me feel safe and secure. The refrigerator had water and juices, the kitchen cupboards had complimentary snacks, and the necessary items for cooking, the bathroom/linen closet was fully stocked with beautiful soft towels and other toiletries, and the apartment was immaculate. Everything that should be there was there, and then some. Andrea's place is immaculately landscaped, and has every flower from African Daisies to Verbena, too many to list, and the humming birds were always putting on a show for me, as they flitted from flower to flower. There are fruit trees in abundance on the property, and according to my calculations, there should be at least 3 types of fruit in season through at any given time throughout the year. I certainly had my fill of mangoes. Every encounter I had with Andrea during my stay was meaningful, and pleasant, but she did something for me that touched me in a way that made me cry when I went to bed that night. I am a mother, and it so happened that I was there for this past Mother's Day, and on that day, I was alone. She invited me to have Mother's Day breakfast with her, and her family, and I was beyond touched. Here was this stranger inviting me to breakfast so that I would not be alone on this very special day, that was wonderful. I hated to leave, and will be returning soon. As long as I am able to travel, and I expect that to be for many, many more years, I will be staying at Andrea's place, and that will be at least 2 times per year. I wish there was a way to give more than 5 stars, because that's what I would do to rate this property/owner. So here's to you Andrea, ******************, and many more.
