“Quiet, beautifully maintained get-away with an incredible view” We stayed in the 'Magnolia' apartment, and for 2 of our 3 nights we were the only guests in the house. The apartment was clean and reasonably furnished, but the real story here is outside of the apartment. The view from this place is incredible - it's about half way up one of the large rolling hills in the area and settled in the middle of an expanse of olive trees. The do an incredible job of maintaining the grounds and appeared to have a person doing just this full time. Our favorite spot was a 4-person stone table under a vine covered trellis where we ate dinner each night and watched the sunset. The owners were very nice and available for questions without hanging around all the time. They suggested we take a walk up to assisi which was just down the road, which was a great experience. Although some parts were loaded with tourists, there were many beautiful side streets to explore and even more incredible views from the many restaurants. We also spent some time in the small town nearby, where there is a small grocery store and a couple restaurants. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat if you're looking for a quiet getaway in the beautiful Italian countryside.
