The Island of Gozo region
If your thinking of renting your summer holiday accommodation in Malta because past experience has provided you with many happy vacation memories, why not try a villa rental in Gozo and you'll have the chance to discover an altogether more wild and rugged natural environment where rocky inlets and stunning beaches grace the entire spectacular coastline of Malta's little sister island - Gozo. Holiday villas are the ideal accommodation rental in Gozo for the whole family and can offer all the home comforts you could wish for, as well as many extra luxuries, but if you're looking for rural peace and privacy and the unique ambience of a more traditional type of holiday rental, farmhouses in Gozo were made for you in situations that will let you experience the very essence of rustic bliss in the breathtaking landscapes of Gozo. Farmhouse accommodation and holiday rental villas in Gozo make the perfect family base from where you can enjoy recreation and relaxation under blue sky and unbroken sunshine during the summer, and guaranteed glorious weather whatever time of year you decide to book a holiday rental in Gozo.
The huge and ornately embellished baroque church of our Lady of Victories forms the focal point of this sprawling hilltop village.
The whole village radiates around this Church Square. Lifestyle is simple and old fashioned- An interesting laid back lifestyle, Historic attractions and a beautiful beach are the main attractions of Xaghra for the holidaymaker.
The village of Xaghra is poised on a high limestone plateau. This explains the formation of caves and grottoes in limestone terrains. Nearby is the lovely beach of Ramla.
Xaghra is also famous for hosting one of the oldest man made Temples in the world- Ggantija Temlpes ( The Giants Feet)
As a holiday resort, Xaghra offers some fantastic views of the Gozitan landscape, it presents itself with an old fashioned and laid back lifestyle, friendly people and very safe to stay. The nearby beach of Ramla , historic attractions and the holiday homes in the area make Xaghra a holidaymakers favourite for all the family. Entertainment is lacking in the area but for this one can always venture to mainland Malta for the day whenever you felt like it. Cost of car and passenger ferry "Gozo Channel" is cheap and often offers a shuttle service
Xaghra is most famous for the prehistoric sites, the temples of Ggantija, and the Neolithic site of Santa Verna, which lie nearby. Calypso's cave, of mythical fame, also lies within Xaghra
The present village has a more recent history. It became a parish in 1688, but the main church was only built during the mid 19th century. It is one of the most beautiful of Gozo's churches, with its richly-decorated interior, gilt sculptures, Italian marbles and paintings. The village also has two curious grottos, Ta' Xerri and Ta' Ninu, both of them beneath private houses but open to the public. The grottos have remarkable stalactites and stalagmites. The village also has two unusual museums: a Toy Museum; and an old wheat-grinding windmill. The mill, still in working order, has been fully restored and houses a collection of agricultural and domestic artefacts from centuries past.

Cant fault the hospitality that Antonio and his family offered. We visit every year since we got married in 2008. Antonio and family have always been accommodating and the people in the village are so friendly they all look out for one another, we bring new people every year to experience the pleasure we do every year

The villa was absolutely amazing (this was our second visit to the same villa). Rooms perfect, kitchen was great had everything in it that you needed. The BBQ area was amazing, which had been extended since our last visit and the pool was also fantastic ! All the people are really friendly, the transfers organised by the owner went really well, just a fabulous place.

We have been to Ta' Menzja 4 times now although not for a couple of years due to other commitments elsewhere. Since we last went Anton has extended the outdoor space and it is even more lovely as there is now a large area in the shade. To be honest we absolutely adore this gem of a farmhouse and Gozo and all that is on offer. Anton, the owner, is fantastic and this is such a relaxing stress free holiday. Mind you I don't wont to tell everyone in case it spoils this gem of an island! We are already booked in for our return next year.

We had a lovely stay in Villa Ta Menzja for a week in May 2013. Xaghra is a lovely village, everyone was so friendly and the Villa is in a great location for walking up to the main square for the shops, restaurants and cafes. The Villa itself was amazing - the photos on the website don't do it justice - very spacious rooms and outdoor space, and finished to a very high standard. We had a couple of little niggles (dvd player not working etc) but Anton could not have been more helpful - nothing was too much trouble to him. We hope to be back very soon!

"This beautiful villa gets better every year!"
This is the third time that we have stayed at Ta Menzja and each time the villa just gets better. This five-bedroomed property was already spacious and comfortable with a lovely sun terrace and pool. When we visited last year the sun terrace had doubled in size and Anton, the owner, had built a new external dining area complete with gas barbecue. This year the shaded pergola over the barbecue area has been completed and there is attractive new planting in the garden.
Ta Menzja has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. There are five air-conditioned bedrooms, a large living room with flat-screen tv, satellite and dvd player, and a well-appointed kitchen. And each evening the south facing sun terrace gives visitors a beautiful sunset to watch!
The villa is five minutes walk from Xaghra's bustling village square. Here you will find good shops, restaurants and cafes; and a few benches where you can just sit and watch the world go by!
Anton is rightfully proud of his villa and wants all his guests to have the best holiday; he is always available for help and information if you need him.
The villa, the village and the island is addictive; we're already booked for next year!

"Lovely villa, great village and Anton the host made everything smooth and easy"
Villa spacious, clean with good facilities. In a great area as it was easy walking distance to Xaghra square with lots of good cafes/ restaurants. Davenue, oleander etc. food is very good and excellent coffee/ desserts!! We booked transfers from airport with Anton and this made travelling so much quicker ( important when young children involved!!) Anton had hire cars waiting at villa as well as plenty of food for first night and breakfast!!! He even met us in town and drove in front to show us where supermarket was. Excellent service. Only point to be careful is with swimming pool - it's deep so just watch kids. Lovely holiday.

"Excellent break in Gozo!!"
We have been taking breaks in farmhouses in Gozo for a while now and I have to say this has been our best so far! The owner Anton was very helpful and friendly. The farmhouse is beautiful! We especially loved the BBQ area next to the pool, where we spent most of our time. The location is also great, just a few minute walk from the village square and some of the best restaurants around... Will defiantly be back next year!

"Worth every penny and you can't ask for anything more than that."
If you're looking for a Villa in Gozo look no further than this man.
Outstanding properties (we stayed at another Villa in March) and great locations.
The only negative I can say is that it would have been nice to have Air Conditioning in the living areas.
