About the home

With Fantastic Views of the blue Mediterranean Sea and valleys , this luxurious villa/farmhouse is next door to another identical villa called L-Ghorfa.

Both farmhouses have free Wi Fi and all rooms are fully airconditioned.

These 2 identical farmhouses have been carefully converted to very high standards with all modern amenities. Kept mostly with their original features such as wooden beams, large arches and old patterned floor tiles

Facing the east coast these 2 large villas with amazing views boasts with sunshine from sunrise till late afternoon.
So plan your holiday for days of basking in the sun, relaxing by a great pool and patio or sunset entertaining.

Each villa has a large private pool with sunbeds for every person and a large kitchen which also caters for 11 persons.

The Island of Gozo region

Gozo the Island Of Calypso, known also as an Island of Paradise where time stood still. The Island of Sunshine and History.

Gozo is called The Romantic Island of Calypso and Ulysses. An island with friendly people, beautiful beaches, farmhouses, Cathedrals, Neolithic Temples, Archeology and History.

Gozo is one of the Mediterranean's most serene, striking and unique islands with plenty of world-famous sites to visit during your holiday. It's little wonder that it is often referred to as an island paradise.

Steeped in myth and brimming with cultural character you'll never be bored. Time may have stood still but Gozo has something for everyone. Its rugged landscape begs exploration, it's rocky inlets make it the perfect spot to snorkel and history lovers will be spoilt for choice. From beaches and churches, to museums and world-heritage sites, like the Neolithic Temples in Xaghra and the Azzurre Window in Dwejra you'll be glad you chose to explore this tiny island. The Xaghra area

Xaghra is the largest and most sought after village in Gozo. It is situated on a hill which is one of the hills on the emblem of Gozo. The village with breahtaking views of valleys and beaches. The village of Xaghra is very popular as there are the most popular places in Gozo and a lot of history.

The Neolithic Ggantija Temples in Xaghra are a World Heritage Site and completely unique. The oldest freestanding temples in the world, they date back to 3500BC and they are attributed to a mythical giantess. These temples are older than the Pyramids of Egypt.
These temples are a must-see for any Gozitan vacation.
There are also the stalactites and stalagmites caves and the windmill.
There is also Calypso Cave which is overlooking a large sandy beach called Ramla Bay.This is where Gozo got it's name as the Island of Calypso. The legend says that Calypso who was a nymph, saved Ulysses who got shipwrecked and kept him with her for seven years.

.There is also Ramla Bay ( Ramla il-Hamra ) which is the largest, the most popular and most unspoilt beach on Gozo. It is awash with red sand. The sea is shallow and perfect for children, except on windy days. In the summer months it is popular with swimmers, sun worshipers and idlers who sit around tables beneath sun umbrellas at a kiosk, sipping cool drinks and nibbling snacks. During the winter Ramla l-Hamra affords pleasant peaceful walks. A statue dedicated to Our Lady of Hope stands vigil in the middle of the beach.

Apart from all these Xaghra is the only village which has got a very nice square lined with cafetterias, bars and restaurants which are open all day. People selling fresh vegetables and fruit. Pharmacy, butcher shops, newspaper shops, banks etc..A square where you can spend some time drinking and talking to the local friendly people of Xaghra. There is also a very large nice church dedicated to our Lady of Victory.
The feast of Xaghra is celebrated on the 8th of September, with a whole week of fireworks, bands playing, processions and so on.
There are always activities going on, like in Carnival, Easter, Christmas time, summer feasts etc.

“An amazing family holiday in superb accommodation on a lovely island.” The accommodation ranks among the best our family have holidayed in (the weather was extremely hot so we made good use of the lovely swimming pool). The villa is ideally situated in the village with only a short walk to a handy food store and not far from the main square of Xaghra where there are some really good small restaurants. We made a few sightseeing trips which were arranged for us by Pauline and Mario. We would all love to go back to the tranquil, friendly and beautiful island of Gozo again sometime in the future. Special thanks to the owners Pauline and Mario for all the Help they gave us.

“Excellent villa - just wonderful!” Absolutely loved staying here - a beautiful villa in a very pretty village. From the welcome at the airport from Mario to our last goodbye after 2 weeks, we felt thoroughly well looked after and very relaxed. The villa had everything we needed including beautiful verandas with great views, big bathrooms, a decent pool and comfy beds. The air con was brilliant and provided a good nights sleep for us and our baby. The BBQ was huge and was used every night and the pool safety gate used constantly - what a thoughtful touch for parents! The village, only a short walk away, had some lovely restaurants, a couple of good (quiet) bars and an excellent pizza place. We walked into Marsalforn most days and really enjoyed the small beach and first class restaurants. This holiday ticked all the boxes - thanks to Pauline and Mario! We'll be back.

“An excellent property in a good location - we had a great time.” Is Setah is a lovely property. Good location with nice views. Very clean and well equipped. Lovely bedrooms (though pillows very hard!) and plenty of bathrooms. The pool was great and good size too. Very friendly owner and transfers from airport were excellent. The village of Xaghra was a good base to see the rest of Gozo with some nice restaurants in the square as well. We really enjoyed the open air jeep we rented too!. Response: We live next door to this villa and we always ask our clients if everything is ok and if they need anything they can always tell us. So if you told us about it we would have been more than pleased to give you other pillows to choose from as we have different types.It was such a small thing for us to do.
