Situated on the delightful "Old Village" development, the house is beautifully furnished and comes fully equipped with all the comforts you will need. The property sleeps six adults, plus cot space if required. The modern kitchen has a kettle, toaster, microwave, oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble drier, and dishwasher. The lounge has comfy sofas, satellite TV, CD, and a DVD. The master bedroom is spacious with king size bed, en suite bathroom and ample storage for clothes. The other two bedrooms are twins and share one large family bathroom. There is also a ground floor w.c. The roof terrace has seats and loungers, with fantastic views over the golf course and out to sea. There are also four separate air conditioning units (for the bedrooms and lounge) which both cool and heat, together with log effect electric fire in the lounge for winter guests.

There are three swimming pools, one of which is particularly suitable for children, and a children's play area. On site there are two restaurants, three café/bars, a supermarket, and an internet bar. The manicured grounds are beautifully maintained with picturesque walks around the development.

The Algarve region

The main holiday season is May to September, with hot clear weather expected almost every day. October through to April is ideal weather for golfing and walking, or those who want less heat. With an expected 300 sunny days per year, the climate is exceptional along this South coast of Portugal. No wonder that is boasts over thirty quality golf courses.

The main tourist areas are, from the West - Lagos, Portimao, Albufeira, Vilamoura, Faro, Fuzeta and Tavira. All have excellent sandy beaches, and most are within an hour of Faro airport. Good, not busy, roads enable good sightseeing opportunities such as Sagres, Silves, Monchique Hills, plus various activity parks. With a blend of Spanish, African and Moorish influences the Algarve is enchanting and cultured. There are a lot of cosmopolitan resorts often with luxury marinas. They range from quiet to lively areas, so everyone can find their ideal holiday. Local food and wine is very good.

Vilamoura

The Old Village is a pleasant twenty minutes walk from the cosmopolitan Vilamoura marina. There are also reliable taxis, and a road train which stops at the Old Village. The marina contains a multitude of shops, bars, and restaurants. On each side of the marina there are two delightful extensive beaches. Generally Vilamoura is a quiet, classy residential/tourist/golfing area and tends not to be too commercialised or hectic.

This upmarket resort and marina is one of the largest in Europe. Either side of the marina, are the two large golden sandy beaches which offer a variety of water sports. This established resort is stylish and welcoming with lots of designer shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, and some night clubs, plus an international casino. Vilamoura is 20 minutes from Faro airport and fairly central to the Algarve, so hiring a car or taking a bus will easily allow you to discover other areas along the coast or into the hills. Transport in the resort is good with reliable taxis, plus a road train to see the local sights. The resort is synonymous with golf as there are six quality courses within 10 minutes. Perfect for a relaxed and fun holiday.

"Best break I have had in a long time"

I just spent 10 really relaxing days at the Bourgainvilla in the Old Village, Vilamoura. The villa had everything we needed, enough space and was very comfortable. The complex had a variety of swimming pools, bars and restaurants which suited us all. We could relax in the villa or on the sun loungers at the pool. There was a convenient shop and a short walk took us to the beautiful and classy marina. I took my wife, my eldest boy and his girlfriend and my youngest and his mate. Vilamoura had everything to keep us all happy. Bars, restaurants, parasailing, jet skiing, boat trips, the casino. We did everything in an environment that is not overcome with Britishness but retained its Portugese identity. Thank you to Richard and Ann for letting us use your lovely villa, you contributed to a wonderful holday. The weather wasn't bad either. Sun for 10 days, I could not ask for anymore.

"Perfect Villa in Perfect Location"

This was our second visit to the Old Village, Villamoura, and we plan to go back next year ! This villa was excellent, with all the facilities necessary plus more ! Good communication with owners and very helpful. Already put in our request to rent same villa from them next year !
The Old Village gives you the choice of eating in at your apartment or having a BBQ on the roof terrace; eating out on the complex at some delightful restaurants or taking the 15-20 min walk to the Marina where the choice of restaurants is amazing - beautiful views over the harbour and lovely beaches too!
We were a party of two couples and two children (aged 10 and 4) and the pools on the complex are ideal for the kids, plus the Old Village is very safe with no vehicles being allowed in. Beautiful gardens and very relaxing atmosphere, not busy or loud !
We would highly recommend the Old Village and most definitely BougainVilla.

"Great Villa & Great Holiday"

This villa is very well equiped for anyone travelling with young children. There is a cot, high chair and stairgates available for use and there is also a maclaren buggy for use also so you don't need to bring your own. The old village itself is very nice with nice pools and a few restaurants and bars so if you wanted to you wouldn't need to leave the village. We walked down regularly to the marina which is about a 10 to 15 minute stroll or a taxi is approx 4 euro. I would definately highly recommend this villa to anyone thinking of booking it and hopefully we will be back soon ourselves.
