About the home

Ta' Kolina is a totally renovated house of character blending with the village's surroundings. All three bedroom's have en suite shower/bathrooms with one of them being a corner jacuzzi bath. The swimming pool is a beautiful roman style measuring 10 x 7 metres with lots of deck space for sunbathing or barbequing. The kitchen is latest design and fully equipped being located next to a well furnished dining area which also contains a period fireplace and cable tv. Just a five minute drive to Ramla L Hamra Gozo's largest sandy beach! The property has easy access to all amenities from groceries, bakeries,bank, pharmacy and many excellent restaurants for eating out. This makes ta Kolina ideal for romantic couples and families all year round and during school holidays too! Free broadband internet is now available wi-fi throughout the house.

Cable tv is situated in the sitting/dining area next to the fireplace. A snooker/billiard table has been recently added for the enjoyment of our guests who have repeatedly holidayed at ta' Kolina. Free Wi-Fi internet is available throughout the property for the exclusive use of our guests.

Restaurants, groceries, vegetable vendors, bakeries, pharmacy, bank facilities are all within walking distance as well as playing fields for our toddler guests.

The house is suitable for both families and couples as it is very centrally located. Locals are very friendly and Gozo is practically crime free. If requested we can also arrange transfer from Malta airport and car hire. Welcome pack available on arrival.

The Island of Gozo region

The Island of Gozo is the northernmost part of the Maltese Archipelago. Easily reached with ferry crossing or by helicoper from Malta airport. Agriculture and Tourism are main activities. Lately lots of vineyards are sprouting everywhere as the Island geographical position gives it unlimited hours of sunshine and producing very good quality local wines from Syrahs to Chardonays. Being surrounded by sea it is a perfect break from the hustle and bustle with lots of small coves and sandy beaches. History buffs and subacqua divers are also in for a treat.

The Nadur area

From early April to end of September every town and village in Gozo celebrates the partron saints feast which includes colourful firework displays, solemn processions lots of other culinary local delights. Nadur is also renowned for the different kind of Carnival which is normally celebrated in February. Christmas is also a well organised event with many households displaying their own personal cribs and baby Jesus at the own house front windows while many individuals, clubs etc are putting up mechanical and static cribs for public display. New Year's evening celebration are also well catered for.

“A perfect retreat but if you like exploring you are perfectly located” We have been coming to Gozo for about 10 yrs and have stayed in a few houses in three villages but Ta Kolina in Nadur has become our favourite and we have stayed there 4 times now. On one trip there were four generations of the family and we all enjoyed our stay so I can say that there is something for everyone. The house is just what we need to take a relaxing break. It is in a quiet location yet it is close to the centre of town .There are plenty of shops , bars and restaurants within easy walking distance and if you can't find what you need then the town of Victoria is just a short drive . The beaches are all within easy reach but if you don't fancy the beach then you can relax around the pool . The house is really well equipped with all the usual stuff.The pool is well maintained and cleaned regularly.The village of Nadur is a really friendly place and can be quite lively at night. In the time we have been visiting we have become regulars at the Rabokk bar where the host Peter has made us very welcome. They have a good variety of local and other beers and wines and the food is good too. I recommend the pizzas. To sum up, if you need a nice relaxing holiday in a friendly place with good accomodation then Ta Kolina is the place for you
