The Algarve region

The Algarve is well known for its golf courses and also for the many attractive fishing villages - and hence, of course, for the seafood, which is delicious. The Atlantic location means although very hot in June, July and August, the heat is not overpowering. The climate remains warm in Spring and Autumn, and over winter you get warm days, but the nights are noticably cooler.


Lagos / Marina area

Lagos is a historic town, and the narrow streets and city walls are well worth exploring along with a variety of shops and stalls, and a small museum. If you're after action, you can learn to wind and kite surf, go diving or enjoy one of the dolphin watching trips available. Lagos is a perfect base for blending the needs of the family with those of the golf enthusiast!


How to get there

Flying: Cheap flights to Faro are available via RyanAir, Aer Lingus,Easyject, Flybe, Jet 2, Thomson Fly, Palmair, etc. as well as with scheduled and charter ailines. Booking early can secure excellent deals. On arrival at Faro, you can travel to the apartment by car, taxi or train.

Car: All major car rental companies are well represented at Faro Airport. Advance booking is advisable and this can be arranaged for you with two local companies. The journey takes approximately 50-60 minutes mainly on the motorway and directions will be sent to you.

Taxi: Taxis cost between 75 and 115 euros each way depending on time of day and number of passengers. Remember to check and agree the price with the taxi driver beforehand.

Train: The train from Faro to Lagos takes about 2 hours and costs approximately 8 euros per person each way. NB. You will need a taxi from Faro Airport to Faro Railway Station. On arrival at Lagos Railway Station, the apartment is within walking distance

The Reception Area is open 24 every day with English speakers who are very willing to assist you with any aspect of your holiday.THERE IS 24 HOUR SECURITY The apartment is cleaned, and the linen and towels changed once a week. . Linen and towels are provided (not beach towels).
