The accommodation is flexible. There is a double bedroom with a king-size bed, and a family room, comprising a double bed and 2 bunk-beds. The house can therefore sleep 6, if 4 family-members are sharing the family room.
Each bedroom has lovely views, up or down the shore. You will hear the sea all the time when you are in the cottage.
The kitchen is newly-fitted, modern and well equipped with an electric hob and gas oven, a fridge and dishwasher. The house has gas central heating. There’s a new shower room, and towels and bedding are provided.
|Further details outdoors|
The house stands in its own walled garden facing the sea. The garden is accessed through the kitchen door and down some stone steps to a patio area, where French garden table and chairs provide an outside dining area. A wrought iron, anchor gate leads down to the rocks and seashore below.
Although there is no private car parking, it is easy to park on the opposite side of the road running in front of the house

It has many places of historical interest including a castle and the magnificent Mountstuart House.
For lovers of the outdoors, Bute is a great holiday destination with all manner of activities from walking, cycling and sailing to golfing and fishing.
Isle of Bute
Bute has many interesting places to visit from the majestic Mountstuart House, family seat of the Marquess of Bute, just 2 miles south of Montford Cottage, to Rothesay Castle with its close association with the Stewart Kings of Scotland.
There are plenty of sports and activities to enjoy on the island including walking, sea and loch angling, cycling (bike hire available) and golf. The island has 3 golf courses, each with its own challenges and all with spectacular views.
The main town of Rothesay is about 3 miles away and has plenty of facilities including a small cinema, swimming pool, visitors’ centre, shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. There is a lovely putting green on the front which is open in high season.
