The county of Kent has so much to offer. 350 miles of Glorious Coast; Heritage & Culture; Arts & Crafts, Nature & WIldlife and Broadstairs is ideally situated to explore the wider region. The city of Canterbury with its magnificent cathedral is only a half hour drive away. There are stunning castles at Leeds, Hever and Dover (don't forget the White Cliffs too). Oysters at Whitstable and Historic Dockyards at Chatham. WIldlife Parks at Howletts and Port Lympne and championship golf at Sandwich. For more information on the region we recommend our guests visit www.visitkent.co.uk.
Broadstairs is situated on the Isle of Thanet on the North Kent coast. Whether you are looking for a traditional seaside holiday, a sporting break or a cultural/wildlife experience the area has something for everyone. Visit one of the 8 blue flag beaches or for the more energetic there is the Viking Coastal Trail or golf at North Foreland Golf Course. The charming town of Broadstairs was Dicken's favourite holiday spot and hosts the Dickens Festival, Folk Week and the October Food Festival. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars catering for all tastes. Take in the Turner Gallery and Margate's Old Town with it's cafes and retro shops. Visit Pugin's House and then stop for refreshments overlooking the Royal Harbour at Ramsgate. For wildlife lovers there is the Nature Reserve at Pegwell Bay with the only ancient sand dunes in Kent. This is just a snippet of what's on offer. We recommend our guests visit the following website www.visitthanet.co.uk for more comprehensive information on what's going on in the area.

"Spotlessly clean, well equiped in a convenient & quiet location"
Stayed here for 1 week in July whilst we visited our friends and family in the area. Located about 5 mins drive from central broadstairs. The Loop bus service also stops nearby. The kitchen had everything we might need to cook for ourselves and our 2 young children (ages 5 and 20 months), even plenty of plastic cups, plates and bowls for the kids. Lovely sunn, fenced back garden with sun loungers, patio area with table and chairs for 6 people, a rotary washing line and even a slide which our kids loved. Lovely spotless bed linen and white towels. The whole house was immaculate on our arrival. The housekeeper does a thorough job between clients. We would definitely return in future.

"Brilliant Cottage - look no further!"
We had never been to Broadstairs before so Tracey's very helpful emails before our holiday were very welcome with tips of where to go & what to see. In fact Tracey has been a complete delight to deal with since our intital booking. The Cottage is Beautiful. In a very quiet Road with a lovely garden as an added bonus. It has been equipped to a very high standard and is a real home from home with many well thought out extra's. Soozie the next door neighbour is very friendly and helped us with directions and even lent my children her swingball to play with! So if you are thinking of coming to Broadstairs this is the Cottage for you!

We had a lovely holiday in June. The house is fully furnished with everything you want for small children. Ours loved the garden with the slide and the basement playroom with the lego. There are several beaches a short drive away. The décor is like staying in a plush hotel, very relaxing break.

"Peaceful, well designed and relaxing, great garden."
Great location close to a number of coastal towns and bays. Could walk to the nearest beach in a ten minute stroll. If a longer walk was needed could get to the lovely town of Broadstairs within twenty five minutes. The house was very well presented with a thoughtful layout that made us which wish for the same at home. Lovely garden were we sat for meals and relaxed at the end of the day. Lots of nice touches that made the house a joy.

"Beautiful cottage in great location"
Seagull cottage is an extremely well equipped and beautifully furnished cottage - definitely the best I have stayed in. It has a lovely relaxing atmosphere and is in a great location. We had a great girls weekend and all felt better for the break. The cottage is near to a friendly pub and we had an excellent meal at a restaurant in Broadstairs called Wyatt & Jones. Broadstairs is a lovely unspoilt seaside town with beautiful beaches. To sum up I would 100% recommend this fabulous, beautiful cottage.

"A Little Bit of Heaven on the Kent Coast"
We couldn't fault our stay in this beautifully appointed property - a real home away from home - and it can only get even better with the upcoming installation of a log-burner in the living-room set to make Seagull Cottage and this lovely corner of Kent a wonderful winter break location, as well as for traditional summer family holidays. Friendly, helpful owners (excellent comms. from them), made our late, half-term booking go without a hitch and lovely Soozie next door was a mine of helpful and interesting local information, as well as assisting us in making sense of Thanet Council's overly complicated refuse recycling regime! Stunning local beaches at Joss Bay and in Broadstairs itself, make Seagull Cottage an ideal base for family holidays as well as for adult parties wanting to explore all that east Kent has to offer - and don't forget to visit wonderful 'Morrelli's' for the best ice-creams you will ever taste in the most fantastic setting. Only downside for us was that the nearby 'local' is a child-free zone at all times and therefore lost out on our business, but Broadstairs itself has a plethora of good eateries, bars and, being situated at the centre of this new movement; a couple of very good micropubs. We definately want to return to Seagull Cottage again - will just have to remember to book early!!

"Perfect for our family holiday"
This was our first trip away with two children (2 1/2 and 8 months) and Seagull Cottage couldn't have suited us better. The house itself is beautiful, retaining Victorian character with all modern conveniences, very tastefully decorated and comfortable at the same time. There was plenty of room inside and in the long sunny garden for our family of four. We spent most of our time in Broadstairs and Kingsgate which are both a short drive away (and walkable if you don't mind a long walk - Botany Bay 30 mins and Viking Bay 45 mins) and did a couple of day trips to nearby Whitsable and Sandwich. Fully intend to book for next summer.
I am so glad you enjoyed your stay and thanks for your positive comments. I would love to welcome you back. There is a beach only a 10-15 minute walk away from the cottage at Joss Bay with its beach shop and cafe, kiddies corner and the Joss Bay Surf School.

Travelled the May holiday with husband and two children. Seagull Cottage was everything and so much more. Comfortable, spacious and clean. The children especially enjoyed the basement. It was only a 5 minute drive to Joss Bay, where my 10 year old daughter enjoyed her surf lessons with Joss Bay Surf Club, even though the weather was terrible. Despite the weather, we had a fantastic time and would have already recommended to my friends. Looking forward to another enjoyable stay soon.

"The perfect Holiday home"
Seagull Cottage was an absolute delight! A perfect base to explore the Isle of Thanet. The owners had thought of everything, even including an apron and shopping bags! Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend and look foward to visiting again.
