Stone Cottage is located between Glencoe and Ballachulish villages (5 minute walk to each). An ideal location for all outdoor enthusiasts. Climbing, walking, fishing, golf and watersports are all a short distance away.

The cottage has a beamed ceiling in the living room. Light the log burning stove, curl up with a glass of wine and relax in the warmth whilst watching the boats bobbing on the water.

In line with our policy to always improve our cottages, a NEW kitchen has been installed at the end of 2013, as well as new carpets and flooring downstairs, new curtains have also been put up in most rooms in the cottage.

Go and explore the woodland area at the rear of the cottage. It is a site of special scientific interest.

Can you spot the deer in the woodlands? or will they wander down into the main garden to feed?

(please note that there are open waterways in the garden - due to part of it being woodland - children should be supervised at all times. Unfortunately we do not accept children under 5.)

Deer are often spotted in the woods/garden area.

There is a patio area dedicated to the cottage which has garden furniture during the summer months.

The low nature of the cottage means that even when sat at the rear of the cottage you will be able to admire the loch.

Further details

Unless otherwise arranged, we request that guests arrive after 4pm, and depart by 10am to allow for the cottage to be cleaned and prepared for the next guests.

Due to the stairs and open waterways in the garden, we do not accept children under 5. Please supervise older children if they venture up into the woodland area.

For health and safety reasons, during icy periods, please pay extra attention outside (preferably use the front door) and the slate paths do become slippy.

"We loved this cottage"

Warm clean and welcoming.
the log fire works well and the cottage is characterful, cosy and comfortable and very convenient for the mountains and Glencoe area.
Plenty of room for drying clothes and boots.
A new remote for the tv would be nice.
We would come again.

"Cosy, comfortable cottage with lovely views of the loch."

Stayed at Stone Cottage for a short break the first week of March with husband and dog.
Lovely spot with views of loch. Great fire in sitting room for chilly months. Bedroom was warm and bed comfortable. Cottage is well kitted out even supplying towels and toiletries. Lots of walks for all abilities in the vicinity.
You can walk to either Ballachulish or Glencoe for for supplies - Ballachulish has the better shop. Pubs/eateries in both directions and more a short drive away.
All in all very good value.

"Lovely old stone cottage with views over Loch Leven"

Stone Cottage is a very well equiped cottage, ideal for walking straight out the door and doing the Ballachulish horseshoe. Two cafes within 5mins walk makes this an ideal spot to stay.

Good space for drying boots/jackets but as we had some of the best weather I've ever seen in Winter luckily we didn't need it.
