Casa Monteiro is part of a small development of villas all with their own private swimming pools. The ground floor has a large well equipped kitchen with an electric/gas cooker, microwave oven, large fridge freezer, and a separate utility room with a washing machine, iron and ironing board.
There is a large fully furnished sitting room and another sitting/dining room with TV and French windows leading onto the lovely paved terrace and pool area. The ground floor also has one twin and one double bedroom each with en-suite bathrooms, and a triple bedded room which can be separated into a single and twin bedroom; there is a separate shower and W.C. The villa is built on two storeys and has a twin bedded room and a double bedroom on the upper floor; both rooms have large balconies with sea views and their own en suite bathrooms.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
A land of sunshine and sea, bordered by miles of golden sands and gently touched by the clear blue waters of the Atlantic. This privileged region in the south of Portugal has some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. The Algarve derives its name from the times when it was occupied by the Moors who named it Al Gharb meaning the The Garden. Silves was considered to be the most beautiful place by the Moors and you can see the remains of the Fort and an Archeological Museum.. From the remotest past, it has been charcterised by great interaction between different peoples and cultures and these influences can be seen in the architecture of its houses and monuments. Places of interest in the Algarve include, Silves and the Monchique mountains and Spa, Tavira and the Ria Formosa wildlife reserve to the East , and Lagos and Portimao to the West.
Albufeira / Gale area
This lovely villa is situated just west of Albufeira in the Gale ‘golden triangle’ and is within walking distance of the beautiful sandy beaches of Castelo, Laurenco and Gale. If you wish to relax with the wonderful local food and wines there are plenty of great restaurants and bars within walking distance of the villa. There are restaurants on all the beaches serving a wide variety of dishes including the famous Chicken Piri Piri and wonderful fresh fish, all very reasonably priced.
There are supermarkets nearby that are well stocked with local and international produce, with the new huge Albufeira Shopping Centre a short drive from the villa that has wonderful fresh meat and fish just waiting to be barbecued! A few kilometres from the villa is the new Marina with café’s, shops and restaurants and Albufeira Old Town which has been modernised, but retains its character of a small fishing town, providing a great range of boutiques, restaurants and sea front bars within a pedestrianised area.
Golf: There is a Golf Course within a 5 minute drive of the villa.
Water Sports: windsurfing, parasailing, pedalos and other water sports are available on Gale Beach.
Coach trips: to Lisbon, Seville, Evora and other places of interest can be booked in Albufeira and are very reasonably priced.
How to get there
On the Portuguese Algarve Coast, flights go from most UK airports direct to Faro. There is a taxi rank at Faro airport to meet flights at all times of the day or night. If you wish to hire a car the villa is approximately 30 minutes drive from Faro airport.

Change over day is Saturday. Once you have decided that you would like to stay at Casa Monteiro, please check with us that the dates you want are available. Once your dates have been confirmed, they will be held on option for 48 hours by which time you must have returned the booking form with your deposit.
The deposit required is 25% of the total rental; the balance must be paid 6 weeks before the start of your holiday, or immediately if the booking is made within 6 weeks of the departure date. Both the deposit and the balance are non refundable in the event of you cancelling your booking. We therefore strongly recommend that you insure against such a contingency. The maid will endeavour to be at the villa on your arrival with the keys. If this is not practical due to flight times or other reasons she will make alternative arrangements regarding the keys. Please advice the Booking Agent of your flight arrival and departure times. You will not be able to gain access to the villa before 1pm on the day of your arrival and you must leave the villa by 11am on the day of departure. This ensures that the maid can prepare the villa for the next guests.
Conditions
The villa rental includes gas, water, electricity and maid service. The maid will clean the villa and change your towels and bed linen mid- week and if you book for 2 weeks at the weekend too. Bed linen and towels are provided; please bring your own beach towels and please do not use villa towels for the pool or beach. We would ask you to respect the villa and its contents especially ensuring that sun creams and oils do not come into contact with soft furnishings as these stains are impossible to remove! Please inform the maid of any breakages.
