Lovely rural villa close to a village by the sea

5 minutes drive from the beach. Furci has all you could need, fishmongers, butchers, ice creams, bars, restaurants, bakers and supermarkets. The Villa itself is spacious and clean and surrounded by gardens, orchards and olive groves. The pizzeria 50 metres up the road is superb. Wonderful Holiday

VILLATRINACRIA We (family of 4 with two teenagers) had a very happy 10 days staying in Gianfranco's lovely villa, with a fabulous pool and very comfortable accommodation. Gianfranco was very welcoming and helpful and as previous reviewers have said, 'pops' in most days to check that everything is OK; that we have everything we need and offers helpful tips for places to go. We were also contacted by Paolo from 'Real Beautiful Villas' who came to see us and gave us advice on places to see and go to, and is a source of great information. In truth we ended up spending far more time at the villa than we originally intended, because it was so peaceful and relaxing, and we were happy to just be in and by the pool, which was a mix of sea/chorine, a decent size and deep enough for diving (2.30m at deepest) and was just lovely! The villa is tucked away in the hills, up a quiet track, with no-one overlooking you in any direction, but it is only about 5/10 mins drive to Santa Teresa di Riva, where there are several supermarkets and a many shops plus a variety of restaurants along the sea front. Taormina is about 45 mins by car along the more picturesque coastal road, and on the times we went, we chose to park in Mezzaro (Isola Bella) and take the cable car up to Taormina, which was great fun. We also went to Giardini Naxos, and took a boat trip along the coast, which was stunning. We didn't make it to Etna or the Alcantara Gorge, both of which were recommended, but we will look forward to doing these next time, as I am quite sure we will be back! San Giorgio home
Excellent property

This apartment was great. The area in San Georgio is excellent, pool is amazing and generally very quiet. Easy to get sun loungers and very relaxing. The apartment itself was idela. We were 5 adults and it had ample space. The outside terrace was very spacious and table easily accomodated 5 for lunch round it. Only downside to terrace was it was covered in so didn't get the sun but that was fine for us. KItchen facilities good, Washer, Dishwasher set up great too. The bedrooms were spacious and beds very comfy. 3 Showers all that worked well. A very short walk to the top of the Corso Umberto, so you could not ask for a more perfect location. Everything from the booking through Helga to the services of Sabina who met us was perfect. We wanted to get out for the day and Sabina replied promptly to message and recommended a great driver. Good Apartment

Generally very nice place, and Roberto was very friendly and helpful. We don't mind the stairs or walk up - all good exercise. Good air-conditioning. Good Bathrooms though showers a little weak at times. Comfortable beds. Kitchen fine though need bigger glasses and mugs in my opinion But a few things The main surprise to us after booking the place was that the pool was several miles away at a beach club, albeit with a free shuttle service from the village. Looking back at the web page, this was explained to an extent, though the property is described as with swimming pool, which is perhaps a bit misleading (I don't think it's a private beach club, though we did get a discount). That all said, it's a good beach club with good pool and easy access to the beach, plus good food and a good masseur. The photo of the terrace area should be updated with the new parasol, which is not nearly as nice-looking at the one in the photo (though it still provided shade fine). One or two Sunloungers would be a welcome addition, given the distance to the beach. Locks on the bathroom doors would be nice. Unlocking the front door caused us some frustration. If you don't actually double-lock the door it's easier, though it was still taking a few goes. Pulling the door seemed to help sometimes. During a big storm there was as leak by the bunk bed room, but short-lived and soon mopped up. So all in all, it's a good place and we very much enjoyed our stay there. … see more
