“Fantastic base for your stay in the Cote D’Azure” Great little apartment. Everything you need. The pool is superb but it is deep, even the shallow end. Opens at 9 and closes at 8. There aren’t people queuing up for the beds but it does get busy. There is a cafe next to it selling drinks, ice creams and meals. The burgers and salads are as good as any restaurant. Laundrette on site about 6 euros and puts the powder in automatically so no need to buy any. Reception staff are nice and helpful. Getting there from the airport you can use the busses. We got a taxi for the ease which was €60. The prices are set so they can’t rip you off. An Uber is also good could be cheaper but the fares go up at peak times. The ride from the airport to Villefranche-sur-Mer along the coast is one of the the most beautiful you will ever take. When you have settled in I’d advise having a walk down to the supermarket in Beaulieu. It’s about 15-20 mins. Do a big shop and get a taxi back. €15. You will be doing a lot of walking. Lot of places to eat in Villefranche-sur-Mer and Beaulieu. Places to visit. On the doorstep is the villa Rothschild. Easy to walk to. Gardens are amazing. On the way back turn left and take a walk back along the coast into Beaulieu. Monaco. We took the train from Villefranche-sur-Mer. Just go to the ticket desk. Staff are very helpful. Was about €15 for the three of us return. Don’t forget to validate your ticket in the yellow machine before you board. Expect to stand up, trains are very busy but it’s only about four stops. As soon as we left the station which is underground we caught the tour bus. We did the full circuit then we knew where everything was. Prices for eating there are no different to here in the uk. We found the people there really friendly. Getting back on the train is easy enough. The screens tell you every stop. Nice. We took the bus to nice. €1.50 each. Got off at the port and walked up along the prom. So much to see and do there and hundreds of places to eat. To get the bus back we just walked down to where we got dropped off. Great place to stay. Lot of walking. If you do find something to moan about just bear in mind that the hotel chain that own some of the apartments there charge €300 a night.
