“Stunning rural idyll in the heart of Brittany” We are regular visitors to La Haute Milliere. The house is charming - it's also very well equipped - all needs are taken care of including wifi for those who want to keep in touch with what's happening in the world. The location is perfect for escaping hectic city life and re-charging as well as convenient for exploring the delights to be found in Dinan, St Malo and Rennes. A personal favourite is waking in the morning to the chorus of the cows from the neighbouring farm.

“A high quality gite in an interesting wine producing area” We were welcomed warmly on arrival with a lovely cake and our rooms were light airy and so stylis ! The gite is surrounded by vineyards and we were lucky to be there at harvest time! The pool is a good size for exercise or lazing on an inflatable and the garden offers shade as well as sun worshiping areas. We relaxed on the terrace, enjoying the peaceful vineyard. Just a short drive away is Blaye, an ancient town with historical sights, riverside views, a market, good wines and restaurants and a fascinating Roman villa at Plassac. Also nearby is Bourg, a walled gem also on the banks of the Gironde with small shops, eating places and wonderful red wine! Bordeaux , being only 45mins away, is a must day out , as is a day in St Emellion with the narrow strreets, specialty shops, the restaurant Amelia Canta and all the trips around the wine chateauxs available. We are definitely going to book up another holiday in Grandetouble!!

“Very, quiet. Fantastic views.” Spent one week at Mille Founs. Very off the beaten track, high up with far reaching views. Pool is good, loads of DVD's and games etc, very spacious for the four of us. Perfect for out-of-the-way France.

“Great place” 2 adults and four teenagers stayed at this house for a weeks skiing. The house was ideal and the location was close to the slopes. Peter was a great host and everything went smoothly despite some extreme temperatures. The house was kitted out as you would expect.

“The relaxing break as a family that we really needed... and got!” The weather may have been changeable but this did not effect our stay at Labique at all. We would recommend it to anyone wanting to chill out and relax. When not exploring the area, most of our time was spent in the fab pool or in the games room (we forgot how much fun table tennis, foosball & darts were to play!)! Claude & Monique at the farm next door were there if you needed anything (they are great cooks!) but respected our privacy which was appreciated. The house has so much character, tastefully decorated and everything you need is there. We were sad to leave it!
