“One of our two best vacations we have ever taken as a family” Our vacation at Hickory Cottage exceeded our expectations. The home was spacious, but had that quaint cottage feel we were looking for on the lake. The owners have done a wonderful job decorating to give it that true cottage style. It rained our first 4 days there, but that didn't stop the children. They fished off the dock, swam and floated in the lake or watched a movie from the many great selections. This home and location are conducive to relaxing. The location on the cul de sac and the foliage around it provide a bit of seclusion. However, the people we met were very friendly. We usually vacation on the sound at the OBX, but after our time at Hickory Cottage on SML, it is unanimous...my whole family wants to return next year, if not before. “We love this place!” It's a wonderful place. We usually have around 15 people. The last two years we stayed in the Colucci Castle! 30 minutes for a gallon of milk, but only 60 seconds from great burgers and the beer! We began our stay a few years ago at Buzzards Roost (another great spot). Love this place so much, brought the GrandKids last summer for a long weekend at Heron's Nest (like a smaller Buzzards Roost and on the river! They loved it also! The group of 15 will be back in May - Derby Week!

“Quiet, comfortable, delicious, interesting and easy!” Quiet, tho we watched a movie and enjoyed the creek flow sounds; comfortable and pretty indoors and out; delicious organic goodies from the garden with tour; interesting to see and learn about the eco architecture; and super easy staying in or going to Bryson City or asheville. “This house is absolutely top-notch and I highly recommend!!” We found this home searching through trip advisor and decided to book it. Are we ever glad we did. We have been to WDW several times and always stayed on Disney property, but we never will again. This house has everything you need and want to enjoy your vacation and more...The house is new, clean, luxurious, amazing furnishings, very spacious and very close to WDW. Everything you need for a comfortable family vacation is in there. We really loved everything about it, the pool was the highlight for the family. We could leave the theme parks at lunch when the sun was burning and go home to relax and cool off in the pool. This house has an amazing huge Samsung 3D Flat screen TV, stereo system, blu-ray player and an XBox with Kinect plus two more flat screens in the other bedrooms. Thor, the owner is very nice and made sure our holiday was perfect! If you want to rent a luxury home close to WDW for your vacation, book Villa Nirvana! Do not hesitate, you'll be glad you did because it really is amazing!!! Thanks Thor! We'll be back.
