“A great place to unwind!!!” From the onset, we received a very warm reception and welcome from host Matteo. My children now call him "Uncle Matteo". This converted monastery has all the charm expected from the Tuscan countryside. Our 2 bedroom unit did not have any great view, but it was very very spacious (with added upper loft- did have a view here) and 2 bathrooms. We did see a one bedroom unit that had a beautiful view if that is important to you. There is no in-suite dishwasher or laundry, but we just hand-washed clothes we needed and hung outside on hanging rack. We felt very comfortable on the whole premises - like home away from home. Although units don't have individual balconies, there are many inviting common areas throughout the premises where one could relax, read in solitude and enjoy. After travelling through the big 3 cities of Italy- Rome, Venice and Florence, it was great to plop down here for 5 nights and slow down the pace by lounging by the large, beautiful, clean pool. Spent evenings eating alfresco by the pool and kicking around the soccer ball with our children. Definitely need a rental car to visit nearby towns and get groceries. Montalcino is about a 10 minute drive away. There is a full grocery store there. We had an excellent meal and service at Re di Macchia in Montalcino. Also recommend visiting nearby Pienza where you can see the varieties of pecorino cheese and wild boar salami (note to Canadians- you can not bring back any wild boar salami- we had 8 packages of it confiscated at Canadian customs). Visit older gentleman - Lorence in Pienza for a beautiful custom-made leather belt. (may need 2 days for production depending on season). It was my 10-year old son's first leather and it is the best souvenir we brought back from Italy. This agriturismo is very calm, relaxing and welcoming. Matteo is a wonderful host that makes everyone feel comfortable. Thank you.

“Very clean and charming apartment in perfect location.” Everything was perfect except that there wasn't enough supplies for our stay. There was barely enough toilet paper for two days (and we were staying for four days) and only enough blankets for two people (and there were three of us). Other than these inconveniences, everything was super organized.

“Amazing!” This apartment is right in the heart of EVERYTHING! Including the train and bus areas. We travelled through Italy using the train system. So easy! The Duomo is a step away and a great view from the windows. Across town to the Arno River was just a short and beautiful walk. My husband and I stayed in the apartment for nearly a month. It become home to us. We hated leaving. Way better than a hotel stay. The apartment has so much rich history. It really shows pride of ownership. We took to it right away. And even referred to it as home. Every modern convenience is there. Very clean. Air conditioning worked beautifully. The owners from the get go were so friendly and accommodating. Any questions we had they would research if we couldn’t find something. The neighborhood is great for any type of shopping you want or need to do. And the neighbors are all so friendly. We got to know them better than our neighbors at home. They really looked out for us! Now we know the next time we are in Italy where we want to stay. We could’ve very comfortably have extended our trip! Thank you again for making everything just perfect! P&J losorelli

“A room with two excellent views” As if Florence isn't enough, I would go as far as to say that this luxury apartment is reason in itself to visit this beautiful city. Mario, our gracious landlord, greeted us from the taxi and we could not believe how centrally the apartment was located; literally one block from the Duomo, one block from the Medici Chapel and no more than 10 minutes walk to any prominent place of interest. The apartment was GORGEOUS. We honestly had a moment's worry that we had misinterpreted the cost by a decimal point it was so lovely. The place was a blend of antique furniture and tasteful modern conveniences: comfy beds, fully stocked kitchen, washing machine, plenty of towels, excellent heating, WiFi, and even SKY television and a nice sofa to crash out on after a day's walking. And the history of the place...it's something else. The poetess Corilla Olimpica used to live here, and once Mozart held an informal concert in this very building. It was a well-known hub of the arts back in the day. Mario took the time to recommend to us his personal favourite eateries, having purchased for us a map of the city, and even offered us use of two bicycles (which we didn't end up using as everything was so within walking distance). If you are planning on making use of the excellent kitchen facilities, be sure to hit the food market first thing, as buying food from the Spar store is very expensive and not nearly as fun as perusing all the fresh local produce in the market. Osteria Nuvoli is the nearest eatery (you can see it's small white awning from the front windows of the apartment) and has a "secret" cellar restaurant area downstairs. The food and wine is excellent and reasonably priced, and the ambiance is fantastic. There is no English menu so you'll have to hope that one of the lovely waitstaff has got enough English to talk you through the options! The second nearest eatery is a block down when you take a right out of the building and is called the Red Onion (or translates as such). This is another excellent restaurant and does delicious freshly made pasta dishes. Unless you are planning on hitting a significant number of museums and galleries, I would say that it is not necessary to buy a Florence Card. You will certainly not be making use of the public transportation as it truly is a very compact city. We had such a lovely stay in Florence and it is in great part due to Mario's welcome and his wonderful apartment. We can't recommend this place more highly. Grazie mille, Mario!

“Wonderful” Wow this apartment was gorgeous. Beautifully decorated, spacious, everything was spotless. Having a washing machine, coffee maker with coffee provided and a lovely bottle of wine made all the difference. Location was fantastic, right next to uffizi, plenty of restaurants, bars and shops nearby. Very fast and reliable wifi. Short walk to all the sites - would definitely stay here again. Thank you rosella. We will never forget Florence.
