“Fanastic stay - helpful and friendly staff and great value for money” We booked this rental via booking.com and didn't really know much about Syracuse or the best place to stay etc.. As we were meeting family who had travelled from Belgium and England, we wanted to choose a place that was easy to find, centrally located, as well as reasonably priced for 6 adults. Casa Aretusa met our expectations and more! The location was perfect, such a short walk to waterfront and centre for beautiful night time walks to get gelati and visit the gorgeous Ortigia square. The service was second to none, in fact, when we realised at 11pm the night before arrival (from Malta via ferry) that it was going to be very difficult for us to arrive by taxi from the ferry port - Francesco answered our plea for assistance and had a transfer (thanks Andrea!) waiting for us at 630 am the following day. Very impressed! It saved us a terrible travel day, it was a great start to what was a happy and very enjoyable stay. I am sorry that i have forgotten the gentleman's name who looked after us when we arrived (where you collect the key at B& B "Palazzo del Sale"), he was also very helpful and had many good suggestions for things to see and places to go - whenever we saw him in the street he would come and say hello and ask us how we were enjoying our stay. Overall, we were very happy with the stay and could make no recommendations for improvement, the accommodation was exceptional value for money - the pictures are exactly right. We were surprised by, and loved, Ortigia in general and hope to return. Thanks Francesco!
