The house has been lovingly restored to retain all the character of the big old cortijo and ensure a high level of comfort. There are high beamed ceilings, comfortable bedrooms and large luxurious bathrooms. The big main kitchen is designed to make your self-catering holiday easier if you are a large group with restaurant-grade cooker, big fridge and a dishwasher - and there is a further family kitchen too. Because you might want a night off from cooking or would like dinner ready when you arrive home from a trip, catering is also available.

Outside, you'll find fresh eggs from El Molino del Conde's chickens, fresh herbs from the kitchen garden, pomegranate, fig, peach, almond and walnut trees, sun terraces, private swimming pool, large shaded dining areas, picnic spots next to the stream, a vine-covered courtyard and large private grounds where children can run around safely.

As well as 3 acres of gardens, El Molino del Conde also has a multi-sports court - a 3/4 size tennis court also suitable for badminton and volleyball - and a heated indoor studio for pilates, yoga, indoor cinema and art classes. Locally there is walking, cycling and horse riding and we can arrange visiting massage and beauty therapists.

“Wonderful. So relaxing.”

Reviewed 4 Aug 2014

A beautiful house and garden. We loved the pool, the kittens, the location and the house itself. Probably a few too many steps for anyone with mobility issues, and we had to keep a close eye on our toddler, but apart from that it was a great place to stay for our big family get together. I loved the fact that even after a week's stay, I kept coming across new little shady spots and places to sit and admire the views.

“Brilliant house for a big party”

Reviewed 4 Aug 2014

Stayed here with family (16 of us, ranging from 1y/o to 70y/o) and it was great. Lots of choice of rooms, places around the garden to eat / sit / relax in the sun or in the shade. Not too far from town, although you'll need a car, and other places to explore in the area. House was clean and comfortable, pool area was fab and Kimberley made sure any issues were dealt with straight away. Would thoroughly recommend this house for a big party.

“Fantastic holiday which the whole family really enjoyed”

Reviewed 13 Sep 2013

We holidayed at El Molino with the whole family of 18 aged between 70 plus down to 9 year old twins with various ages in between. The location and accommodation couldn't have been better and really suited our needs. The older grandchildren enjoyed the use of the tennis/badminton court and the pitanque area while the whole family enjoyed the use of the pool and surrounding seating areas with plenty of shade and sunbeds for those wishing to sunbathe. We all really enjoyed being able to use the outside area for partying as well as eating, many members appreciated the music facilities and the outside fridge. Some of our group had a lovely time feeding the kittens in the morning and collecting eggs from the hens and feeding the ducks. The whole area is delightful and very comfortable; we would really recommend it for a group wishing to hold a celebration or just a get together with like-minded friends. The hosts Nick and Amanda couldn't be more accommodating. Altogether a place we would all like to return to at some time in the not too distant future!

“We found what we looked for”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2013

Our family with children and parents and grandparents and grandgrandparents were looking for a place to be together for a nice family week. Lucky we found El Molino ! Lot of space, nice pool, lovely owners, nice and sunny. During our holiday week we spent 90 % of our time at the recidens. We recomand this property to other family groups for a lovely holyday in Europe.

“Simply the best”

Reviewed 22 Jun 2013

We have booked El Molino for at least 2 weeks in Spring and Fall for several years. It is always the perfect venue for our arts or culinary retreats. Nick and Amanda maintain an extraordinarily high standard of support for their clients, ensuring a warm welcome and responding to any particular needs for help or information. Each time we arrive there is another wow factor, with improvements that seem to happen organically without spoiling or changing any of the charm of the original property.

“The perfect chill-out spot”

Reviewed 17 Jun 2013

For a group of friends or extended family, this is the perfect place to relax - lovely bedrooms, big kitchen and dining areas, the studio downstairs for watching movies and the lovely pool to chill out by. Being so remote in the countryside is brilliant for birds and wildlife - bring binoculars! We saw Golden Orioles, a Booted Eagle, Montagu Harriers, Woodchat Shrikes, Serins and everywhere Sand Martins and Swallows. And there are big fish in the stream!

“Magnificent 50th birthday celebration with family and friends”

Reviewed 5 Jun 2013

We had a fabulous stay at El Molino with a party of 18 family and friends for 2 weeks in May. Everyone in the group enjoyed the trip in different ways from relaxing by the pool, Walking the hills through the olive groves, Cycling on the beautiful lakes at Iznajar, Sports in the grounds and massages to name but a few. We had breakfast provided by Nick and Amanda over the party weekend and waitresses at the party. The staff were excellent and added to the happy smiles of everyone on the trip. Amanda and Nick could not have been more helpful in making sure that everything was special for us. We will certainly be back. Wonderful !!!

“Wonderful Property and Fantastic Hosts”

Reviewed 31 May 2013

My family of 21 stayed at this beautiful villa in early May. We also rented another property nearby to make sure we were all comfortable. It was far better than we expected. The villa was spotless and fully equipped for a large group like ours. We have done these family trips many times in many countries and this one was the best of the lot. Nick and Amanda were wonderful hosts and made sure everything was just so. We all would highly, highly recommend the El Molino del Conde for large group travel. Except that it is against the family trip rules, we would return in a heartbeat. I may have to get the rule changed.
