“Amazing attico” Fabulous holiday yet again,second time at the attico and hopefully more to come. Excellent peaceful location, with amazing views of the lake. Gill and Chris the owners very helpful and extremely friendly. (Chris also makes a mean gin and tonic).

“Fantastic traditional little house - highly recommended!” We enjoyed a fantastic stay at Casa Los Montes El Monecilla with our two year old son. The house is of a traditional style with thick stone walls and wooden shutters that keep it cool in the summer and a lovely little swimming pool that offers views of the valley and the surrounding fruit trees. All very well looked after. It is perched on the side of a hill with only two other houses in sight. We particularly enjoyed watching the shepherd every evening grazing his flock of goats and sheep around the valley. The location makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Having said this, there are several restaurants within a few minutes’ drive, the nearest supermarket is only 15 minutes away and the nearest beach only 20 minutes. We were able to explore all around Lake Vinuela and the surrounding villages and even made a day trip over to Granada to visit the Alhambra. We feel like we got a taste of the ‘real’ Spain while being less than an hour from Malaga airport.
