From the owner

Our Bed & Breakfast is located near the small village of Gattaia (not far from Vicchio), in the green and beautiful countryside of the Mugello area. The natural environment here is wild and harmonious, with a dense network of hiking trails. You can easily visit many interesting castles, museums, villas and ancient residences of the powerful Medici family. The local cuisine is excellent – another factor that makes this area an ideal destination for your holidays.

Our house is set on a hill in a splendid panoramic position from which you can see the distant towns of Caselle, Molezzano and Vicchio miles down the valley. This area is a game reserve and you may often see young roe deer and foxes in the spring and summer, as well as a great variety of birds.

Antonella and Alessandro have been living here now for several years. In 2007 they decided to undertake this very special work, since they enjoy meeting people and extending their traditional Tuscan hospitality.

It is possible to access WI FI throughout the villa, so it is easy pick up your emails, check your reservations for museums and plan your next day trip in Italy. Though the position practically guarantees refreshing temps even in the heat of summer, the bedrooms are all equipped with air conditioning. It is possible upon request to do laundry for a small fee in a dedicated area, simply ask the owner and they will assist you. There is a full kitchen for you to prepare light meals for eating in the large garden area or to take with you on a hike in the nearby trails. There is also a common area with sofas and a cosy fireplace for an evening of friendship and …. maybe even a bit of romance.

It is without doubt an ideal place for those who want to pass a quiet and relaxing holiday, in contact with nature in an environment still wonderfully unspoiled. On reservation, you can have breakfast tasting our typical products, homemade cakes, cookies and bread.

Swimming pool is shared with other guests, only available from the end of April until the end of September and it's open from 7:00 am until 9:30 pm.

Our apartment has private entrance and access to the garden where you can eat outside during summer and spring seasons. On the ground floor there is a spacious living room with fireplace, a kitchen with stove, microwave and refrigerator, dining room, one double bedroom and bathroom with shower. On the first floor there is another double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower.

For our guests there is the swimming pool (4x8 mt) open from 30/04 to 30/09, shared with others guests.

There is a splendid panoramic view that overlooks hills and mountains of Mugello valley and, during Spring and Summer seasons, you can have breakfast in front of the apartment with outdoor furniture. Being in a game reserve, is not difficult during, to meet young roe deer, foxes with the ability to see, between the branches of the trees, many species of birds: the ideal place for people who love "bird watching" and taking photos.
