“memorable stay” My family and I enjoyed our recent stay at Simone and Susanne's apartment. Susanne was a nice and helpful host who assisted us to locate her apartment in Poppiano as we drove in from Rome. The apartment was as depicted in her listing.

Poppiano Chianti Hill WiFi
Very nice apartment and location

Poppiano Hill in Chianti was a nice place to stay in. Susanne was very helpful, communicative and made efforts to talk to us every day. We were extremely late on first day and she was fine with it. House is comfortable for the family, very spacious and kids had a lot of fun. Location is excellent in the country, only a mile from the castle. see more

Absolutely gorgeous area, awesome apartment!

We stayed in the 5 bedroom apartment at the beginning of April 2015, the apartment had just been updated, all bathrooms brand new, the mattresses are extremely comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed in it. The weather was pretty cold so the heat was on at night, we would turn it off during the day when we went out to visit Florence. We didn't expect to have to pay for 20 cubic meter of gas for 5 nights but that is what the meter showed. I suspect that half of the heat went out the windows/doors as in some of the rooms there was clearly a draft either from the balcony door or from the window. But we got a discount for the heat when we mentioned the draft. The builder should try to insulate the building rather than charge the tourists 7 euros for the cubic meter of gas. Nicole was very nice and sent us a lot of tips on visiting the area which is absolutely gorgeous, we will definitely return during summer and spend time in Tuscany only for wine tasting and food., The restaurant down the road has very good food at a very decent price, same is their house wine. Nicole, again, thank you so much for everything, I look forward to our next visit... soon! see more
S. Andrea a Cellole Polvereto
Ticks all the boxes

Spent a fantastic 10 days staying at this villa in mid September. Location is ideal within the heart of Tuscany, easy driving to Florence, Siena and Lucca. Situated on a small hill about 5 miles north of Tavernelle, a small town containing a well stocked Co-op supermarket, San Andrea a Cellole commands some breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Villa Polvereto is a small villa with a double bedroom above a kitchen/dining room. The stairs between the two is an extremely steep spiral stair that may cause issue to some. The kitchen is well provided with easy to use washer, dishwasher and cooker. There is a large fridge freezer but no microwave. Of course, the highlight of the accommodation is the beautiful pool. Although unheated the sparkling clean water is so inviting. Of course, none of this would be so great without the delightful owner, Adela. Full of great advice and assistance, Adela makes you feel comfortable both in the provision of the well maintained villa and in the friendly welcome and presence she provides. To make this a balanced review, I must mention two small poiwnts. The first is the unexpected proximity of the next door apartment. Thinking we would be secluded, we found the neighbour to be a lot closer than expected. Secondly, be aware that the wifi strength is very poor and only capable of minimal activity. That being said, the Andrea a Cellole Polvereto is a fantastic holiday destination that is in a perfect location, is well equipped and is recommended to anyone requiring a perfect, relaxing Italian vacation. see more
