In the San Marco district, Altana Albachiara is an elegant charming 120 square meters penthouse at the top of a 16th century merchant’s building at the base of Rialto Bridge on the Grand Canal, accessible from a private courtyard, offering the best view you can dream of Venice 360 degrees from the two large top roof terraces overlooking the whole city!

Restored respecting the original features of the typical venetian home, such as the timber beamed ceiling, marble floors, the fireplace and raw brick walls, the apartment is tastefully furnished, with a mix of antique furniture and contemporary conveniences to offer an authentic, cozy and welcoming atmosphere and every necessary comfort to feel completely at home.

The apartment is provided with wifi internet connection, self-regulating air conditioning and heating system, tv, dvd player and a complete hi-fi system for the whole house entertainment.

Full of natural sun light being located on the fourth floor and attic, it feels like the ideal quiet refuge of tranquility where you will be delighted to come back at the end of your days exploring the city.

On the main floor the ample entrance leads into the different rooms:

the bright, spacious and colorful living-room with dining area, a rich library and a large sofa that can open up in a double bed on request; two good-sized and comfortable double bedrooms with roomy wardrobes, one of which can be prepared as twin; a functional well equipped kitchen including table and chairs, oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and domestic appliances; a small handy toilet.

An easy staircase takes to the upper floor where is found the old fashioned yet airy bathroom, with bath and shower fittings, hair-dryer, washing machine, laundry and ironing facilities, and the access to the two splendid deck terraces of 40 square meters on two levels among the highest of all Venice!

The roof top terrace is the icing on the cake of Altana Albachiara apartment, so called for the bright sunrises over Venice that you can watch from here: this special name describes how beloved it was by me when it used to be my primary house before I recently moved and started renting it as a really special home in a special location for special guests, of who I will take care of hoping they will enjoy it as much as I did.

On a clear day, if you look to the left from Altana Albachiara terrace you will see the snow caps of the Dolomites rising above the lagoon islands, then just look below you and there it is the magnificent Rialto Bridge and the Grand Canal, turn to the right and you see the domes of St. Marks Church and Bell Tower, a truly heavenly location while sipping your favorite cocktail and admiring Venice all around.

The terraces are provided with table, deckchairs and sunbeds offering an exclusive opportunity for your morning coffee, drinks in the evening, for your meals and relaxing time listening to the sounds of the city and enjoying its beauty.

Altana Albachiara is the perfect combination of all that one would wish: the superb location, the stylish environment and the fabulous views make it the perfect apartment for your unforgettable venetian holiday!
