The apartment ( 30 sq ) is located in the city center, between 2 subway stations, next to a tram and trolleybus station, next to the National stadium. The studio has a kitchenette and a living room, both decorated in 2 colors - orange and green.
The flat has a kitchenette in its entrance room and a small bathroom. From this entrance space you can enter the living room ( 16 qm ), which has a regular bed, a sofa bed for 2, room organizer with TV, old turntable and my vinyl collection, some art books and a table that you can use for both working on a computer or dining for up to 4 people. The third room in the apartment is currently used as storage and it's under reconstruction due to roof leakage.
The neighbourhood is quite alive, but still calm, despite its location between two very central streets. Lyuben Karavelov street is combining the National Culture Palace ( around 1 km from the flat ) with Knyazheska garden ( less than 100 m ) and the famous Monument of the Soviet Army. At Yuri Venelin street you can find a Turkish restaurant, local tattoo studio, 100 beers shop, hairdresser salon and a second hand clothes shop. At the intersection of Gurko and Vasil Levski street you can find a supermarket and plenty of other shops for street food, clothes etc. The nearest tram and trolleybus stop is called Vasil Levski, but is also known as "Popa" due the priest statue at the small square. It is a common meeting point with on of the oldest cinemas in town called Odeon and a variety of small shops. You can follow Graf Ignatiev street and experience the heart of the city.
The nearest metro station is Vasil Levski National Stadium ( 400 m ), but Sofia University station is also nearby ( 600 m ). At Patriarh Evtimiy square you can find tram stations ( named Vasil Levski due to the boulevard ) of lines 10,12 and 18, and trolleybuses 1, 2, 5, 8 and bus 94. Bus 84 ( stop Gurko street ) is a very good and cheap connection to both terminal 1 and 2 of Sofia airport.
At Popa you can always get a taxi, they have a regular stop point there.
