Description from owner

Description

Caday Rouge is a beautiful 1900's Stone Manor House accompanied by a 19th Century Quercy Stone Farmhouse and Barn (dating back to 1862). These are set within 2 acres of mature, well-kept tranquil gardens, hosting a large, heated, saltwater swimming pool, a gym and a games room. These all nestle peacefully among delightful gardens and the serene countryside.

This year the property has been fully restored to its original beauty and is now ready for 2016.

There is an abundance of wild birds and river wild life, as we are only a stone's throw from the River Lot, which runs behind the cottage. A must for any keen fisherman, as the River Lot is known for its good carp fishing.

There is a bike path, one of many in this area that runs right passed the cottage, or you can walk on rambling routes and take in some of the breathtaking views.

“Fantastic Gite!”

Reviewed 16 Sep 2012

We had a marvellous stay at Le Petit Maison de Cadays. It was beautifuly clean with homemade bread, bottle of fizz etc as a welcome. The bread was to die for! Trevor, Lynda and Santino were very helpful and nothing was a problem. The pool was amazing and our youngest learnt to swim in our time there. It was a lovely area with a big supermarket only 5-10 minutes away. There were plenty of village markets locally and some lovely restaurants nearby. We all had a very relaxing holiday and look forward to coming back again soon. A big thank you to Trevor and Lynda x

“A relaxing family holiday”

Reviewed 26 Aug 2012

The gite is spacious, well furnished and finished to a very high standard. We loved the salt swimming pool which the children spent hours swimming in. It is a very good size and great for serious swimming, sunbathing or eating by. At night the underwater pool lights made it enchanting to swim. We had everything we needed to enjoy this holiday as we spent most of our time swimming, reading, eating and drinking local wines. We benefitted from local supermarkets nearby. Lynda, Trevor and Santino were excellent hosts and we would love to spend another holiday there.

“Excellent accommodation and pool, very relaxing loved it!”

Very peaceful calm and relaxing. The kids and adults had a great time in the pool which was a lovely salt water pool. Everything we needed was there, the accommodation was very comfy and felt like home for the week, food wine and company fantastic. A place to go to stay in! Would definitely go again.

“Surprise Engagement”

Reviewed 24 Oct 2011

Just completed a lovely holiday with Lynda and Trevor who were very friendly and hospitable on our arrival which continued through our holiday. The accommodation was just what we were looking for, spacious, modern and everything you could wish for, and in a fabulous location. We spent many hours around the fantastic pool just sampling the atmosphere. When we did venture out Lynda was very helpful in directing us to local activities and restaurants which we found very enjoyable. We would thoroughly recommend this villa to any family or couples wishing to holiday in the Fumel area. To make the holiday complete our daughter and her boyfriend announced their engagement - thank you Lynda and Trevor.

“Delightful place, both inside and out.”

We like good quality accomodation and pleasant surroundings. We look for a big, well maintained pool in a beautiful garden. We enjoy somewhere peaceful but within easy reach of a supermarket, restauraunts and interesting places to visit. We love the area around the River Lot and have stayed in this part of France several times. This holiday let is just about perfect for us. We made our second visit this year and hope to return. The owners are welcoming, hospitable and there when needed but they do not intrude.
