Beautiful penthouse duplex apartment in the convenient and scenic La Almadraba resort

On the top floor, there are two bedrooms, one double room with en-suite and one family room with three beds and separate family shower/bathroom.

Downstairs, there is a fully fitted and well equipped kitchen, a guest WC, lounge/dining area with dining table for 6 people. From the lounge there is access to the West facing terrace with views overlooking the communal swimming pool and out towards the neighboring golf course and hills in the distance.

In the summer, the terrace enjoys the sun from early afternoon until the sun sets over the hills. There is a terrace table and seating for 6 people. For ‘el fresco’ dining, there is a Weber gas BBQ for guests to use. (it is the guests responsibility to clean the BBQ before vacating or this can be done for a 20€ fee)

La Almadraba is one of the best situated resorts at Duquesa with the picturesque Marina and its restaurants, bars and cafes just a 5 min light walk away. The beaches at both Duquesa and Sabinillas are blue flag with excellent bathing water quality. The commercial center of Sabinillas with its large supermarkets, shops and banks is a gentle 10mins walk away.

In the well-kept tropical grounds of the resort, there is a nice pool area with sunbathing facilities (sun-loungers/parasols, WCs) and the area is secure so small children cannot wander off and there is a separate kiddies pool area. There is free communal WIFI with the strongest signal by the pool area but the wifi signal is usually available at the apartment as well. There is night time security and secure underground parking for one car.

Guests of la Almadraba 424 also have the use of two mountain bikes and a set of men's right handed golf clubs. Estepona golf club has an excellent driving range and is just a 10min drive away.

The Costa del Sol region

Puerto de la Duquesa is in the area known as the 'other Costa del Sol'. It is a lot less built up than the big tourist areas further towards Malaga and has retained some of its traditional charm. Apart from the Golf Hotel, there are no big hotels in the area.

It is about 60mins drive from Malaga airport on the motorway and 35mins from Gibraltar airport.

Within a short drive away down the coast, there is Puerto Banus with its mega yachts of the mega rich, the picturesque town of Estepona and Gibraltar.

Inland, there is fantastic scenery from the mountains as well as the white villages od casares and Gaucin.

Puerto de la Duquesa

La Almadraba is a gated resort of just 80 apartments and is on a much smaller scale than some of the big concret complexes to be found all around the Costa del Sol. It has a lush tropical feel with well kept gardens, flower beds, lemon trees and the nice cloiver leaf swimming pool.

The nesting parrots can often be seen in the garden palm trees and during the evening the frogs like to let themselves be heard all of which adds to the magic of the resort.

Alongside the resort is the Duquesa golf course so the whole area has a country feel but at the same time is only a 5 mins walk from the marina and beach.
