Fantastic location with a great pool

The apartment is in a fabulous location, max 5 minute slow walk to the beach and promenade. A really nice environment with lots of restaurants / bars. Incredibly good value - we spent no more than 50 Euros in any of the restaurants for 4 of us (2 adults and 2 children) including a bottle of house white. Restaurants just by the sea and 2 cokes and 2 beers only cost about 7 Euros. We enjoyed a river walk in Nerja, kayaking and horseriding - the latter two arranged via Black Frog (10 min walk away) and activities were reasonably priced. We tried to go snorkeling but this was cancelled twice as considered too windy, so book early in your holiday to maximise your chances. (I probably wouldn't recommend the horse riding unless a confident rider as takes place in the mountains with a significant drop on one side - we chose not to canter and stuck with a walk / fast trot! ) Useful Information - owners flexible about check in / out time. Accommodation reflects the reasonable rate - cheapmalagaairporttransfers.com Great airport transfer from Malaga 60 Euros for 4 people each way - supermarket opposite the entrance to the apartment (across the road) - if you're a fussy sleeper, take your own pillows - no air conditioning and traffic noise loud outside main bedroom (only room that faces the road) but resolved with a fan and window closed. Needed to ask for the fan as only one initially provided for the whole apartment but owners very responsive to request for more - The pool is much nicer than the photos suggest. No sun loungers around the pool but appears this is common for the area. Attended by lifeguard all day - a good bus service to other towns (timetable available from the tourist info centre on the promenade) Local taxis are available and metered - internet connection intermittent /poor depending upon the time of day (better in the mornings, less so in the evening) - felt a very safe area, we were happy for our 14 and 12 year old to walk around the area without us Thank you Ana for a lovely holiday! … see more

HOUSE OF PEOPLE NEW TO 10 MIN TO THE BEACH
Charming village house

Me and my husband have just spent 5 weeks over Christmas and the New Year period in this charming little house. For two people it is totally suitable. We absolutely loved the sunny roof terrace with amazing views both day and night looking towards the sea and over the white washed houses of the village. We thought out of the box and made a few amendments to ensure we were comfortable. Neither of us like a soft mattress so the beds were perfect for us and we slept soundly in them. It was no detriment to us to have to move the bed which was very light,to get into the ample spaced wardrobes. The shower was a gusher not a trickler and the shower enclosure was the same size as ours at home. We appeared to have an endless supply of red hot water. The little washing machine, microwave, electric kettle, toaster and hot grill proved invaluable. There is no English tv or wifi but l purchased extra data from my supplier and we watched box sets on our lap top. The neighbours were very nice. The house is very tiny but compact with all the amenities you could possibly need. The owner was very kind and helpful. The price was also very fair.
