Location description from owner

The Balearic Islands region

One of Europe's most popular holiday destinations for over 30 years, Mallorca (or sometimes written and pronounced Majorca) is a Mediterranean island of stunning natural beauty. The reputation for cheap holidays and mass tourism came from the large scale developments on the island's south west coast. Some of those early resorts which remain popular today include Magaluf and Palmanova. More recently though, Mallorca has reinvented itself and concentrates on more upmarket tourism. Visitors are encouraged to explore the island's stunning coastline and beautiful interior. Mallorca's north east coast has an enormous bay which is home to the popular resorts of Can Picafort and Alcudia. Nearer the island's most northerly point at Cap de Formentor is Puerto Pollensa which has always been popular with holidaymakers. This whole area is very popular with cyclists, walkers and birdwatchers. The Serra de Tramuntana is the mountain range running parallel with Mallorca's north west coast. The terrain and mountain peaks are in stark contrast with the gentle east coast. It's a great idea to rent a car and heading out to Soller, Deia and Valldemossa to make a visit to the less well known villages inland. Mallorca has something for everyone and the island will have you coming back year after year to try it all again!

Pollenca

Villa Es Coster de na Llusia is located between Pollensa and Alcudia very close to Puerto Pollensa and Puerto Alcudia. Pollensa is a town and municipality situated in the far north corner of the island of Mallorca. Most houses were built in the 17th and 18th centuries and many streets are very narrow and compact, a legacy from the medieval era. The central square has numerous outdoor cafés and is dominated by a large 13th century church. Puerto Pollensa is situated in the north eastern corner on the island of Mallorca only 45 minutes from Palma. Once a small fishing port, now it's an elegant holiday destination in an unspoilt corner of a popular holiday island. Puerto Pollensa nestles in a natural bay, against a backdrop of rugged mountains, giving a particularly picturesque setting. There are stretches of sandy beaches and the wonderful 'Pine Walk' right alongside the seashore where bars, shops and restaurants provide an unbeatable combination. Alcudia is an historic town with Roman and Moorish influences and Puerto Alcudia is a lively modern resort with one of the finest beaches in the Mediterranean.

“Beautiful views and a warm welcome”

Reviewed 19 Jul 2015

I have previously stayed in about 5 or 6 different villas in the Puerto Pollensa area and I must say this is one of my favourites. The main reason is the stunning views from the garden and terrace - looking out onto the mountains as well as across the Pollensa bay towards Formentor. I have never stayed in a villa with views like that. The big garden, fenced pool and children's play house were big pluses as we have three children under the age of 6. We were also provided with a travel cot, high chair and stair gate. The villa is very modern and incredibly functional although not as characterful as other villas we have stayed in. The kitchen is very well equipped (including things like a blender) and all the household goods are of very high quality rather than the usual poor quality you get in rentals (brands like Bosch, Grohe etc) . The aircon works really well across the whole house so the villa always felt cool even when it was baking hot outside. I also felt that Salvador and his family really cared about us having a good stay. On arrival, we met him and his mother, who were very nice and during the week, their maintenance man, Joselete (also super friendly) came by every day. I would definitely recommend, particularly to families with small children.

“amazing villa, stunning location, with fantastic customer service”

Reviewed 9 Jun 2015

We had stayed in Bonnix another villa owned by Salvador and his family last October and knew how wonderful that one was .This one is only a short distance away and is built to the exact same specification.Met again by the charming Salvador walking into this beautiful villa we felt instantly at home.A welcome pack of food and drink is a lovely touch. The view from the beautiful terrace and landscaped gardens is utterly stunning, spanning both mountains and the sea. The villa is spacious, comfortable and beautifully appointed .Everything you need and more is here .The hot tub overlooks the amazing scenery and we spent many hours chilling and relaxing there. Delicious cakes were delivered part way through our stay by the friendly Joselette and nothing is ever too much trouble. We hired a car at the airport which enabled us to explore more of this lovely island then spent many hours in the nearby town of Old Alcudia. The villa has a perfect base for exploring .Es Coster de na Llusia also has the wonderful addition of Llusia , the friendly donkey, who we enjoyed feeding twice a day! Only too soon our stay was over but we know we will be back again soon, once you find a little gem like this you don't let it go!

“Superb villa with fabulous views”

Reviewed 8 Jan 2015

A very well appointed, spacious and well maintained villa with everything you could possibly need, set in a private location with amazing views of the sea and mountains. We would also recommend this villa for a winter stay as it was warm and cozy - we had the log fire going every night, and used the hot tub every evening and is great value - a fraction of the price you will pay in the summer. The location is great - with beaches, mountains and many interesting towns all within easy reach. We were a group of 8 adults with an interest in walking, and there was plenty of mountain and coastal walks within a short drive. Joselete the Manager was very welcoming, looked after us well and was quick to sort out any issues - even on New Years Eve. We will all consider a return visit.

“Fantastic Villa with amazing views”

Reviewed 2 Jun 2013

We stayed for one week - two families with small children. Everything about the stay was first class and enjoyed by all. The Villa is superbly built with quality throughout. The views are stunning, with lovely swimming pool/hot tub. Would definately recommend to others and no doubt we will visit again in the future.

“IDYLLIC”

Reviewed 16 May 2012

This is a superb spacious villa in a perfect location overlooking the beautiful bay of Pollenca. It is fully equipped with everything you can think of. Ideal for a BBQ and soaking up the sunshine. The villa is very private and surrounded by grazing sheep olive orchards and is very peaceful and quiet. The owner is helpful and attentive and nothing is too much trouble.
