No Worries is 1350 sq/ft, plus 900 sq/ft private deck, 2bd/1bath with rain head shower, full kitchen, queen bed in master with 42in flat screen TV, wifi, fireplace, washer/dryer, workstation, bunk bed for youth guests and an extraordinary bay view.
No Worries is a dynamic mid-Century modern home, that (allegedly) was built 60 years ago by an architect who later helped design the original BART system. There is evidence of some crazy genius at work when you examine some of the angles and lines of this home, and of course, the swinging sixties decorative stylings, some of which we kept and incorporated into our renovation design. We think of our home as Mid-Modern: it is clean, super quiet, very light and bright with large windows and expansive views.
When we purchased the place, we found other hidden history including photos of Point Richmond during World War II when it served as a ship building port, and became the official home of icon Rosie the Riveter. Please ask if you would like to see the pics — we keep both albums upstairs where Scott and I and our cat Wyatt Earp live.
The entire downstairs home is yours -- we live on top in a separate home, but we respect your privacy. The whole property has panoramic, three bridge view of the Bay second to none—we offer the best sky and water views in the East Bay. Pour yourself a glass of wine, or a cup of tea to watch stunning sunsets from your deck, or if its chilly, stay inside and watch the moon rise bedside from large picture windows that perfectly frame San Francisco, The Golden Gate Bridge, Mount Tamalpais and beyond. Blink and you may miss the soaring turkey vultures patrolling the sky, or the occasional wild turkey motivating down the hill.
