Casas Del Sol is a development of villas set in beautiful mature gardens opposite the harbour in Playa Blanca. The complex is mainly traffic free having a car park at the entrance but allowing access to the villas for luggage drop off and pick up.

Part of the complex is on the flat and part is on a gentle incline which provides some of the properties with good views. A solar heated swimming pool and children’s pool form the centre of this development with sun beds and shade by the pool, there is also an outdoor shower & toilets in the pool area for your use. The reception office is staffed by helpful, friendly people who are ready to assist you 7 days a week until 10pm so late arrivals are always catered for plus there is also a small store for essential groceries also open late. A tennis court to the rear of the complex adds to the amenities to be enjoyed on this site.

The location is excellent as it is very central being opposite the harbour and only a few minutes walk away from the beaches, shops and restaurants and all the main amenities of Playa Blanca.

A superb modern villa in a fantastic location on the complex as it is in an elevated position on the perimeter of the complex which affords it privacy and wonderful sea views. The enlarged patio faces due south with gardens directly in front of it and then a view across the harbour to Fuerteventura.

A patio set and sun loungers all with thick cushions plus a barbecue are provided for your comfort. Inside the property there are 1 twin bedrooms, 1 triple bedroom, 1 bunk bedroom and 2 bathrooms (1 en-suite), a lounge/diner and a kitchen.

The villa consists of 1 bedroom with a double and a single bed, 1 twin bedroom, 1 bunk bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 shower room en-suite. The kitchen has an oven/ hob, fridge/freezer, microwave oven, kettle, toaster etc. and fitted granite work surfaces. It has replacement doors and windows with security chains and there are also mosquito nets & security chains fitted to the windows.

Other facilities in the property include satellite TV, DVD player, iPod docking station, CD player, hairdryer, safe and washing machine.

Free wi-fi is available in the villa and complex reception building.

There are air conditioning/heating units in both the main bedrooms, a fan in the bunk room and heating available in all areas for the winter months.

Bath and hand towels for use within the villa are provided but pool and beach towels are not but they can be hired locally.

The Canary Islands region

Lanzarote is a unique island of spectacular scenery and stark contrasts. The landscape is volcanic and very different to the other Canary Islands. It is located approximately 40 miles from the Moroccan coast in the Atlantic Ocean and about 4 hours flying time from the U.K. The weather is fine and warm throughout the year with very little rainfall and temperatures varying between 21 and 34 degrees.The buildings are mainly low rise in complexes with garden areas and there are many inland villages untouched by time. The whole island gives a feeling of relaxation and quality.There are many interesting places to visit - the Timanfaya National Park is a must. Here you can take a camel ride to see the volcanic landscape or take the interesting bus tour around the craters. In the central parts of the island you will see the very unusual way local farmers cultivate their land and to the north Los Jameos is a unique system of underground tubes to be visited. The house of Caesar Manrique is particularly interesting, as an architect and an artist he is responsible for the unique way in which Lanzarote has developed.The best windsurfing areas are to the north of the island, whereas the south is more sheltered and has lovely beaches of golden sand. The Papagayo beaches are famous throughout the Canaries for their unspoilt natural beauty and crystal clear sea. There are 2 golf courses on the island.

Playa Blanca

Playa Blanca is situated on the southern tip of the island, approximately a 40 minute drive from the airport. It benefits from the best weather on the island and superb views over the straits of La Bocaina to Fuerteventura.The resort has expanded along the coast but the buildings are mainly high quality villas and hotels. The village centre is pedestrianised with landscaping of the main thoroughfare and many shops and restaurants along the promenade and through the centre. . The origins of the fishing village it once was are still in evidence and provide the resort with a heart and character. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed with the focus on the nightlife being in the restaurants, local bars or hotels. Children are welcomed everywhere and entertainment is provided for them in the evening in the hotels. Daytime activities are usually centred around the beach, the pool or a variety of boat trips which can be taken from the harbour or the Marina Rubicon. There is a 2x weekly market at the Marina and many quality shops & restaurants. Ferries leave regularly throughout the day across to Fuerteventura and the crossing takes approximately 40 minutes.

“Great relaxing holiday.”

Villa V7 is a very comfortable, well furnished property, in possibly the best location on Casas del Sol, with uninterrupted views down to the harbour. The kitchen has every utensil you need if you enjoy cooking, as we do. (Try the fresh fish counter at Superdino - just 10 min. walk away, or the fish market at the harbour). There is a Spar Supermarket 3 min. walk to the right from Casas del Sol entrance, which has all your daily needs. We ate out at El Galeon across the main road at the harbour -2/3 min. walk. Their food is good, and prices are better than most of the restaurants in town. We made good use of the large terrace, and sunrise from there is quite spectacular with palm trees framing the sun. Villa minders, Roy and Yvonne, were friendly and helpful and tended to our only problem, replacing a light bulb, immediately. Casas del Sol reception staff were also friendly and efficient. The location of Casas del Sol is very central for the town and all amenities, with easy flat walks in either direction. The only downside we found is the lack of UK TV channels but this is a problem which is affecting the Canaries and other areas.

What can I say, it was just the perfect place to stay. The villa had absolutely everything we could possibly need. It was very clean, and Roy the villa minder was extremely friendly and helpful. All supermarkets, bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance. We found a fabulous chinese restaurant called Jasmine at the end of the promenade. The weather was perfect clear blue sky every day and very hot. We only wished we could have stayed longer than a week!! We will definately be back!!
