Set in the hills overlooking a beautiful Umbrian Valley, with uninterrupted views as far as Assisi, Casa San Gabriel is a collection of 4 farmhouses dating back to the 16th Century. Lovingly restored by the present owners, the houses feature original beams, terracotta tiles and the latest technology giving ultimate comfort.

It's position set among 3 acres of its own land and surrounded by olive groves and wooded hillsides, gives guests the utmost peace and tranquillity to relax and unwind and the opportunity to walk in the beautiful Umbrian countryside.

There is accommodation for 10 in 3 totally independent cottages (2,4,5), all with private terraces and garden area and wif internet. All the cottages have been restored using all original and local materials, including chestnut beams and terracotta tiles, and furnished to the highest standard

Il Fienile 2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 5, 1 Bathroom

Il Fienile is perfect for families with the lower level consisting of a twin bunk bed room, with independent shower and bath room, living/dinning area with double sofa bed, fully equiped kitchen and above is a mezzanine level double bedroom with either twin or a double bed. The main room leads onto a secluded terrace ensuring privacy but benefiting from beautiful views of the valley.

La Cantina is suitable for a couple or a small family. The lower level consists of a fully equipped kitchen and sitting/dinning area with a double sofa bed (orthapedic) and leads onto a private terrace. Glass enclosed, original external stairs take you to the top level, with a landing that leads onto a double bedroom and a separate bathroom with shower. The terrace and bedroom have wonderful views down into the valley and provide you with the opportunity to finish the evening with a glass of wine and the beauty of Umbria in sight.

La Stalla is a studio apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, living area and bathroom with shower. The views from the original stable window and the private terrace are quite spectacular and ensures La Stalla provides a very romantic setting for any couple.

There is communal room with a well stocked library including books, guidebooks and dvds. Guests can enjoy the 14.5m * 4.5m in-ground pool, a large playground and a wood-burning pizza oven and herb garden.

Swimming Pool: The 14.5m x 4.5m swimming pool is situated on a terrace, with sun beds and umbrellas, at the top of the property with magnificent views across the valley.

The south facing aspect ensures the area takes advantage of the sun throughout the day and its elevated position often brings a cooling breeze for a welcome relief to the heat of the summer. The whole area has been fenced to provide security for children but in such a way that this does not affect the stunning views from the swimming pool.

Playground: A playground is available for use by guests which includes a swing, slide, sand pit and play house and many toys.

The owners, Chrissie and David, who live on the property, offer a very warm welcome to all their guests. They are available to give on-site assistance and the following services: advice on car-hire, flights and local transport, advice on places to see and activities in the local area, book activities / tours / restaurants, baby-sitting and grocery shopping. The owners have 2 young daughers who are always very happy to play with the guests and share their toys.

Alpacas: Casa San Gabriel have 2 pet Alpacas, called Thomas and Fiorela. Our guests are welcome to visit them and help feed them. They are wonderful animals and incredibly friendly.
