A very spacious renovated 18th-century Farmhouse. This house comprises of six bedrooms that can all be either superking or Large single beds. (All beds are zip/link divans). Four of the bedrooms are en suite and the other two share a shower room. The house is set in an acre of land and at the moment sheep are grazing in the back garden!This property is absolutely ideal for large families and groups of friends.

“Amazing stay at La Maison du chêne.”
Jackie, the owner, has been really adorable, available and helpful ! As soon as we enter the house we all felt like home. All the facilities included were more than convenient ! Bedrooms with ensuite were practical as well as the idea to have double or two single beds. Living room is very cosy and comfy. The village of Percy has few great shops and the surronding is also lovely if you have time to visit the cities around ! I highly recommend to stay in this house, you will be completely satisfied like us.

Having spent a week at the property with all my family to celebrate my 60th birthday, this proved to be a wonderful property which was very well equipped to cater for all 12 of us. The owners of the property are very friendly and helpful, and made many recommendations of restaurants and places to visit within the area, all of which were very highly appreciated and enjoyed by all of us. If I ever returned to this part of France I would have no hesitation in staying at the property again, and would recommend to others looking for a large property to enjoy.

“Great House & Great Location”
A lovely and well equipped house to use as a base for day trips to the D Day landing sites, Le Mont St Michel and the Atlantic Coast amongst others. We travelled as an extended family of all ages and the house provides plenty of scope and space for a relaxing break as well as plenty of outdoor space for the kids to enjoy. The local village of Percy offers a number of boulangeries and a reasonably sized supermarket with larger towns and facilities only minutes away. The booking process and communication with the owners was flawless and the introduction to the house and local area from Val on arrival was really useful.

“Excellent House - perfect cycling base for lower Normandy”
The house was a great base in Normandy for a long weekend cycling for 8 friends, being a good day's ride from ferries at St Malo and Caen and centred in good cycling country. Everything was in good order and it had all the facilities we could wish for. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to go back sometime in the future.

“A beautiful home from with fantastic surroundings”
Our party of ten (aged 50 +) had a fantastic time in Le Maison Du Chene. The house was as exactly described and probably more. Everything you needed was there and the surroundings were great. Jackie and Tim were always there for info etc. and Val was there with a few bottles of wine to greet us on arrival, all the nice touches. We are definitely going to go back in the future, 10 out of 10 without a doubt.

“Great cottage, great location.”
The cottage was excellent for a group of nine people. In effect it meant that everyone had an on-suit. Percy was excellent as a base for walking and the bakeries in the town provided superb bread and pastries. The restaurant near the Abbey at Hambye provided good food and wine at a price that was not unreasonable.

“What a fabulous house!”
We've just had a wonderful family holiday in this beautiful house with five adults and four small children being accommodated brilliantly - and still loads of room left! This delightful house has been very sympathetically renovated so that none of its character has been lost but at the same time the beds, bedding and soft furnishings are of high quality and extremely comfortable and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything and anything you could possibly need including a good store cupboard of dry goods. The wood burning stove was the icing on the cake for me. The location is utterly perfect for sightseeing in the Normandy region, such as visits to the Bayeux Tapestry and Mont St Michel and the whole D Day landings history of the area was a great history lesson, with visits to the Cemeteries, Landing Beaches and St Mere Eglise. We were delighted to find a boxed set of Saving Private Ryan DVDs and various books on the D Day landings at the house, to browse through before we made the visits. All in all a wonderful place for a three generation family holiday with huge garden areas for the children to play in. The owners were great, quickly responding to all the queries and questions we had before we went and they clearly see this house as a home from home, both in the way it's equipped and in the passion with which they speak about it. Thank you to them for a fabulous holiday and also for sharing the photos of the renovation.

“Exactly what we were looking for!”
We were a group of 12 adults (6 couples) + 2 babies and this was our 5th New Years rental in France. This house was perfect for our needs and the best one to date we have stayed in. The accommodation was great with all but two rooms serviced with ensuites. There was no problem dividing up the rooms! The house itself was close to a supermarket/local shops so we were able to enjoy fresh bread each day. No issues with hot water and the house stayed nice and warm. Dining table more than accommodated everyone making mealtimes a great.

“A spacious farmhouse property in a good location which accommodated our group of 12 comfortably.”
The accommodation and gardens provided ample space for our party of 12 (including 6 children) to enjoy time together, as well as to find some quiet time. An added plus for us was the private en suite bathroom facilities to the majority of the bedrooms. The property was easy to find on the outskirts of Percy, with its supermarket only a few minutes' car drive away, and with quick links to the motorway for access to the various attractions in the area. One area for improvement - althought the space worked very well for us and the owners have thought of everything in terms of utensils and facilities, there were some maintenance issues in the property. On balance this was a minor point in a most enjoyable stay.
