Tre Allt a quaint and cosy traditional beamed cottage with a beautiful spacious garden and nestling in the hamlet of Penmaenpool, close the Dolgellau & Barmouth which is just a few minutes away. The excellent George hotel (pub & eatery) with a waterside location is just across the road!
Pet FREE and non smoking, so great for people with allergies. With FREE WIFI to keep you connected. The cottage has a sunny north west facing garden to soak up the rays and enjoy the stunning sunsets, the stunning Mawddach Estuary is right opposite the cottage and the Cader Idris Mountain area is just behind the cottage. This delightful stone cottage has recently been recently refurbished and tastefully decorated in a shabby chic style, whilst retaining all its character features along with the comforts of modern living.
Set on the edge of The Snowdonia National Park, Penmaenpool is ideally situated for whatever type of holiday you want. For those with families, miles of sweeping sandy beaches can be found all along the coast. If you're into cycling or horse riding, there are numerous scenic places to ride. This is a walker paradise with the Mawddach Trail opposite, (as featured in Julia Bradbury's Great Railway Walks) Coed Y Brenin & Cader Idris just a short drive away! If you're not the active type, there is lots to do in Barmouth with its independent shops, pubs and eateries or how about a ride along the coast on the scenic Cambrian Coast Railway?
Come and explore this amazing area. Mid Wales is truly stunning and a 'well kept secret' by discerning globe trotters. Come prepared for all conditions, it does rain sometimes!
Tre Allt has a really well equipped kitchen with all modern appliances. The cosy lounge with fabulous views, sits 5 and benefits from a wood burner set in a beamed fireplace, making a great focal point and perfect for gathering around on cold winter night. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one double and one three quarter size double bed. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and is next to the bedrooms. The cottage has a lovely sunny private garden on different levels that enjoy stunning views to the front and rear, with various patio furniture, for 'alfresco living'. As well as the wood burner in the living room there is modern electric heating throughout and double glazing.
The fully fitted 'shaker style' kitchen with tiled floor has a lovely view of the garden from the kitchen window and the hills just behind. There is an electric hob, electric oven/grill, microwave, fridge with freezer box, plus all the necessary cooking utensils. There is a useful breakfast bar dividing the kitchen from the living area. Off the kitchen is a conservatory with a washing machine and sink, plus a sitting area to enjoy the views of the garden.
With a stunning view over the garden and towards the Estuary. In addition to the beamed ceiling, the wood-burner is the central feature in this room, so plenty of warmth on those chilly evenings. There is are 2 X 2 seater settees and 2 coffee tables. For entertainment, there is a 24"flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD/CD and a selection of DVDs and books. With FREE WIFI to keep you connected.
This room has a double bed, chest of draws, bedside tables & wardrobe. There is a lovely original fireplace making a focal point in this room and original pine floor. From the window you have the same stunning view as the lounge to enjoy.
This room has a three-quarter size bed, chest of draws, built in wardrobe and a lovely view of the garden & hills behind.
The bathroom has fully tiled walls & a cushion floor, WC, wash basin, bath with an electric shower over the bath and a heated towel rail.
All the beds have two pillows and quilts, all bed linen is provided. Bath and hand towels are also provided for each person staying in the cottage. Beach towel are NOT provided so please bring your own.
The cottage is located in a quiet location off the main road, which is rarely busy. There is a parking space just across the road.
The cottage has its own beautiful enclosed garden and terraces with garden furniture and a BBQ. It has a sunny north west facing garden to soak up the rays and enjoy the stunning sunsets, the Mawddach Estuary is right opposite the cottage.
We have a minimum charge of £250 for any stay.
Saturday changeovers in the PEAK season
We ask for a 25% deposit on booking.
The balance is due 8 weeks before.
There is a £150 security deposit, which we will return within 14 days provided that there are no breakages or damage.

The North Wales region
Located in The Snowdonia National Park, Dolgellau is ideally situated for whatever type of holiday you are looking for. Whatever you're into: fishing, surfing, kite boarding, sailing, mountain biking, bird watching, painting, landscape photography or horse riding, there are endless scenic places to explore.
This region of Wales is without doubt a 'hidden gem' with some of the most spectacular scenery in Britain. This is a walker's paradise with Cader Idris just a few minutes drive away! Snowdon is only 60 minutes by car.
Don't worry if you're not the active type, the flat & effortless Mawddach Trail, featured in Julia Bradbury's 'Great Railway Walks' program, is accessible to everyone and takes you on a journey along one of the UK's most spectacular estuaries, brimming with wildlife.
There are miles of beautiful unspoilt sandy beaches, as well as many local attractions, such as the Talyllyn Narrow Gauge Railway, which steams from Tywyn up to the mystical Dolgoch Falls. Just a few miles away is the stunning Talyllyn Lake. 15 minutes away towards Corris, is the world renowned 'Centre for Alternative Technology' or (CAT) which is a fascinating place to visit and learn. Close to CAT is The Corris Craft Centre and King Arthurs Labyrinth, another 'must visit' place.
Originally, Barmouth was a tiny hamlet built almost entirely on the rock over-looking the river mouth and frequented by pirates. The sea receded, access improved and a small fishing and ship building industry grew. In the 19th. Century the railway came and Barmouth and almost immediately it embraced tourism and expanded.
Situated on the edge of the Snowdonia national, Barmouth was awarded the Green Coastline award for its clean beach environment and water. There is a great selection of shops eateries and pubs. The mountains for roaming are very close, plus numerous lakes and rivers close by. If you prefer a guided walk the annual walking festival at Barmouth held in September is popular every year.
Barmouth has a sunny west-facing sandy beach. Don't miss the spectacular sunsets over the bay. From early Spring through till Autumn, dolphins and porpoise can be spotted close to the shore, an amazing sight to see! Its not unusual to see them on a daily basis in pods of up to 20. There is level access to the town where there are supermarkets, shops, bistros.
You will find the most glorious ten mile expanse of sandy beaches from Harlech to Barmouth.
Remember to bring your bikes, the cycle routes are fantastic and Coed-y-Brenin has some very interesting daredevil paths to concur.
Visit quaint villages such as Llanbedr, the gateway to Shell Island and Llandanwg with its Celtic church in the sand dunes.
Just a few miles North is the historic town of Harlech with its magnificent castle and golf course.
Don't miss a trip to Llanfair slate mines where "The Last Knight" was filmed, learn how hard the colliers of Yesteryear worked. Portmeirion village, just 30 mins drive is gorgeous, (the Italian style village where The Prisoner was filmed).
Barmouth certainly has a lot to offer, with an attractive and lively Harbour area; spectacular scenery especially The Mawddach one of the most beautiful estuaries in the world; birthplace of The National Trust and a walkers paradise. The Barmouth Bridge, built by Brunel. You must walk over it and enjoy the views. The bridge doubles as a footpath & cycle route giving spectacular views up the estuary towards Cader Idris. Queen Victoria once stopped her train to admire the view! One the way back stop to eat at The Last Inn, Bistro Burma or Davey Jones Locker are particularly good.
The town hosts 4 festivals. In July there is Country & Western and a Kite Flying Festival. 1st. week in September there's an Art Festival and for 9 days around the 3rd. week there is a very popular Walking Festival catering for all abilities. The local Theatre holds events throughout the year but the most popular is a Jazz/Soul/Folk evening held every 4th. Friday in a cabaret setting.
The ancient market town of Dolgellau is situated in the spectacular scenery of Southern Snowdonia National Park. The town is close to Cader Idris Mountain and on the Wnion River, a tributary of the stunning Mawddach estuary. The town has a rich heritage with over 200 listed buildings forming the centre. The community benefits from a great variety of shops, restaurants and amenities within Dolgellau including a doctors, dentists and hospital.
There are good bus services to the other local towns and good local railway connections from Barmouth or Fairbourne along the glorious Cambrian Coastal route. Tourism is an important and growing industry for the area. Cader Idris attracts climbers from all over the UK. Miles of sandy beaches, boating and water sports are close by at Barmouth & Fairbourne. The surrounding area is known for its wild but beautiful countryside and places of historical interest, which provide the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of activities such as mountain biking, walking, horse riding, fishing, white-water rafting and climbing,
The Mawddach trail was recently featured in Julia Bradbury's ' Great Railway Walks 'documentary. 'Go Ape' have recently opened an outdoor adventure centre at Coed Y Brenin, just a short drive from the centre of the town. Nature Lovers are well catered for here, with the RSPB nature reserve situated in the nearby Mawddach Valley.
The town, with its restaurants, cafes & shops, is just a few minutes' drive away and the beaches in Barmouth and Fairbourne are a also short drive or just walk over the bridge at Morfa Mawddach.
