Description

There are three private bedrooms in this antique furnished unique apartment with a large patio-balcony filled with tropical plants, vines, and flowers. The spacious window filled dwelling has all hard wood floors and is adorned with three original stained glass features and five ceiling fans along with a chef's kitchen.

As of September 2018 we have repainted the rental. There are new window treatments and other details that give the bedrooms even greater privacy. We also installed a new dish washer and did remodel work in the bath including reglazing the bathtub. We hung new framed art and framed great music posters as well. There are new plants and lots of other new details about the apartment that are fresh and new. We are working, as ever, to make your stay with us here in New Orleans a more delightful experience than ever!

Our neighborhood is filled with incredible award winning restaurants of every description. In addition the French Quarter, C.B.D., Marigny, Bywater, and Art's District are all a quick 10 minute entertaining Streetcar ride from your front door. There is plenty of space for bicycles if you want to take advantage of the increasing number of on and off street bike paths.

Hop on the Streetcar or take a stroll going the other direction and you are only minutes away from Historic New Orleans Cemeteries, our incredible City Park and it's internationally recognized New Orleans Museum of Art, The New Orleans Botanical Garden, the Sculpture garden, the expansive lawn where the Voodoo Fest and other events are staged, the Historic Bayou St. John and it's restaurant filled historic neighborhood containing, among other things, the site of the annual New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival inside the Fair Grounds Race Course.

-The three bedrooms can each accommodate 2 guests. Arrangements can be made for up to 8 guests to comfortably sleep in the apartment. There is one large bathroom with lovely stained glass, modern tub/shower, generous amounts fresh towels, hand towels and wash cloths, and hair dryer.

-The back bedroom is furnished with a queen sized bed and dresser with mirror and a closet.

-The middle Victorian bedroom has a full sized bed, tv with cable and dvd player, large chest of drawers for guests on longer extended stays, closet, large book shelves, and long 10 foot cabinets with a surface perfect for spreading out suitcases at the foot of the bed.

-The front bedroom can also be purposed as an office with a writing desk and has two twin beds, one which can be turned into two twin beds to accommodate different sleeping arrangements.

Upon entering the apartment there is a large antique furnished multipurpose room with a huge desk where we have spread out a fantastic array of menus, brochures, local guides, magazines, maps, and streetcar/public transportation information to familiarize you with the neighborhood and this amazing city. Take advantage of these as much as you wish and step downstairs to our family business office to make a copy or fax if needed and also inquire about complimentary or discount tickets we often have available to the Audubon Zoo, Aquarium, Insectarium, guided tours, Steamboatboat rides, exhibitions, and so much more.

The large light and plant filled living room has a dining room table, and big comfortable sofa (which makes a very comfortable bed), coffee table, flat screen TV with cable, a big comfortable Bali style wicker chair with foot rest, and other furnishings and chairs that make this room ideal for all the guests to enjoy together.

Next there is a breakfast dining room connected to the chef's kitchen with a large beautiful original stained glass window that the daylight and sunset will spill through.The modern kitchen is furnished with a dishwasher, washer, and dryer and is stocked with all amenities like coffee maker, microwave, blender, and all manner of pots-pans and kitchen gadget and tool.

We also provide an iron and ironing board and there is a local dry-cleaner and delivery service if required.
