Description from owner
Gower Bungalow is a two bedroomed property that has undergone complete refurbishment. It has one double bedroom with double bed and one other smaller bedroom (more suitable for two children or adolescents) with adult sized bunk beds. Bathroom has glass door enclosed shower, toilet and hand basin. The open plan kitchen/sitting room is bright, spacious and comfortable, with radio and wall mounted flat screen TV. The kitchen area is fully equipped. The kitchen window looks out onto the back patio areas. Internal French doors lead from this room into the conservatory which has full size dining table and four chairs! The view from here is over Mumbles Hill.
GAS SAFETY CERTIFICATE UPDATED ANNUALLY. constant hot water and gas central heating (on timer twice daily) included in the price for the winter months (October/November/December/January/February/March) Beds are ready made up with freshly laundered and ironed bedding. We supply hand towels, tea towels and shower mat. ( please remember we do not supply large towels)
Gower Bungalow is walking distance to the charming and lively village of Mumbles with its many restaurants and bars as well as ice cream parlours and cafe culture. The bungalow is quite literally a one minute walk to the Gower coast path, this takes you along to Langland and Caswell bay as well as the more adventurous walker who can continue on the path as far as Pembrokeshire.
The bungalow is an attractive, clean and comfortable self catering experience. The front garden is colourful and has a bench. The back of the bungalow looks over towards Mumbles Hill and is a quiet and peaceful sun trap providing complete privacy. There are two patio areas, the lower patio has a dining table for 4 people and a three piece rattan furniture set with matching coffee table. The back of the property is completely secure for pet owners who can relax with a meal or drink without worrying about where Fido is.
Parking can be either on the forecourt of the bungalow or across the road on a parking bay. there is no through traffic on this road as it is a small and quiet mews.Mumbles is the nearest village, it is very lively with lots of shops, restaurant's, café bars, great pubs and lots of ice-cream parlours. The city of Swansea is only 3 miles away and this is an interesting day out for shopping, theatre cinema etc., there are a number of galleries and museums in the city of Swansea. For those rainy days there is plenty of indoor activity for both adults and children. For those visitors who do bring their much loved dogs we ask that the dog not be allowed on furniture and that they not under any circumstances be left alone inside or outside of the property. We also do ask that special care be taken by dog owners to ensure that the bungalow is left clean and tidy and extra effort is made to remove any trace of dog hair.
Further details indoors
We supply hand towels but not bath towels unless specifically requested at a small additional cost. Central heating is included in price from the beginning of October to the end of April. Thereafter we do ask that visitors be prepared if necessary to use the very efficient and effective electric heaters which are provided and which incur an additional payment via the electricity meter. This does not add a great deal to the cost of stay and is of course governed by the amount of heating the visitor requires during these warmer months. This does not affect the constant supply of hot water all year round.
The shower room is of a good size and has a powerful electric shower, enclosed by sliding glass doors. Therein also Toilet and Hand basin.
Further details outdoors
The bungalow is set in a small very quiet Mews of six other similar properties. There is parking either on the forecourt of the bungalow or literally across the way on the parking bay opposite. The path to the Gower Coastal path is across the road and takes only a few minutes to be walking along the most beautiful Gower Coast.

Owner's reply: I’m so sorry that this visitor had such a negative experience it’s I think a little bit unusual to have a bit of careless paintwork spoil a holiday but we are all very different and somethings are more important to some than others. So heartfelt apology for this and we will endeavour to ensure better standard of paintwork.
A clean tidy bungalow in a great position for the coastal path. Everything you need for a stress free holiday and even a welcoming pack of wine etc. Safe secure garden for the dogs as well

Owner's reply: I’m very sorry that this visitor was disappointed with some aspects of her stay at Gower Bungalow. The appliances consist only of kettle, cooker, toaster, iron, microwave and electric heaters all of which are standard and very straightforward to use. We always ensure that the electricity meter is full before arrival of guests so it requires only top up where there is a lot of use. We will certainly look at the blinds and if broken they will be replaced. Central heating is provided on a timer from October 1st until warmer weather in the spring usually April or May. The electric heaters provided are more than adequate to maintain comfortable temperatures. We make every effort to provide affordable and comfortable accommodation and we respond positively wherever possible to complaints or criticisms however small.
