Gower Bungalow is a two bedroomed property that has undergone complete refurbishment. It has one double bedroom with double bed and one other smaller bedroom (more suitable for two children or one adult) with adult sized bunk beds. It has one shower/wet room. It has a bright spacious kitchen diner (fully equipped) area with a lovely view over the patio, this room leads onto the conservatory through wooden French doors. GAS SAFETY CERTIFICATE UPDATED ANNUALLY. constant hot water and gas central heating (on timer twice daily) included in the price for the winter months (November/December/January and February)
It is walking distance to the charming and lively village of Mumbles with its many restaurants and bars as well as ice cream parlours and cafe culture. The bungalow is quite literally a one minute walk to the Gower coast path, this takes you along to Langland and Caswell bay as well as the more adventurous walker who can continue on the path as far as Pembrokeshire.
The bungalow is an attractive, clean and comfortable self catering experience. The front garden is colourful and has a bench and table furniture. The back of the bungalow looks over towards Mumbles Hill and is a quiet and peaceful sun trap providing complete privacy. There are two patio areas both furnished, the upper patio has a bistro table and two chairs the lower patio has a dinner table for 4 people and a three piece rattan furniture set with matching coffee table. The back of the property is completely secure for pet owners who can relax with a meal or drink without worrying about where Fido is.

We supply hand towels but not bath towels unless specifically requested at a small additional cost. Central heating is included in price from the beginning of October to the end of April. Thereafter we do ask that visitors be prepared if necessary to use the very efficient and effective electric heaters which are provided and which incur an additional payment via the electricity meter. This does not add a great deal to the cost of stay and is of course governed by the amount of heating the visitor requires during these warmer months. This does not affect the constant supply of hot water all year round.
The wet room is of a good size and has a powerful electric shower. Wet rooms are not to everyone's taste and I would urge that thought be given if you are someone who prefers a cubicle to consider another property as we cannot respond to complaints that the wet room is wet after use of the shower.

There are two separate outdoor patio areas both furnished. the area to the back of the bungalow is completely secure for pets and children and has a lovely spacious decking area furnished with dining table and chairs as well as outdoor rattan three piece with small coffee table.
Parking can be either on the forecourt of the bungalow or across the road on a parking bay. there is no through traffic on this road as it is a small and quiet mews.
Mumbles is the nearest village, it is very lively with lots of shops, restaurant's, café bars, great pubs and lots of ice-cream parlours. The city of Swansea is only 3 miles away and this is an interesting day out for shopping, theatre cinema etc., there are a number of galleries and museums in the city of Swansea.
For those rainy days there is plenty of indoor activity for both adults and children.
For those visitors who do bring their much loved dogs we ask that the dog not be allowed on furniture and that they not under any circumstances be left alone inside or outside of the property. We also do ask that special care be taken by dog owners to ensure that the bungalow is left clean and tidy and extra effort is made to remove any trace of dog hair.

Swansea is Wales second city and comes up to expectation. it is a lively city with an abundance of culture with its museums, art galleries and round the year exhibitions of various kinds. it sits to the right of the sea and every nook and cranny reminds us of our maritime traditions. visit the award winning marina and its exciting architectural surrounds. Swansea can boast an excellent shopping centre and abundance of good restaurants bars and cafes. the city indoor market is a must for the resident and tourist trade. transport is very good and has a central national bus station as well as train station. one other thing apart from its seaside attractions, Swansea is famous for it many wonderful parks, including Clyne park and singleton park.
Mumbles is a lively and charming welsh seaside village. it boasts an abundance of restaurants and bars as well as cafe's and ice cream parlours.
Lots of local cultural events around the Mumbles pier and Oystermouth castle
Places such as Tenby, Saudersfoot and Pembroke are all within relatively easy driving distance for those who cannot bear to be so near and not experience the magnificence of the west Wales coast and countryside.
Situated only 100 yards from the glorious Gower coastal path, the bungalow is in a small quiet mews with no through traffic. it is strolling distance to local restaurants over looking the sea, and a few more minutes into the village of mumbles. some of the finest beaches on the Gower are walking distance, Langland and Rotherslade both have restaurants over looking the bays, and serving excellent food, coffee,wines and beers. The village has a very busy seaside leisure industry, hire boats and boat trips at very reasonable prices. there are an awful lot of ice cream parlours!!!

"Comfortable, well equipped bungalow in fantastic location"
We stayed here on a weekend break in January and we found the bungalow to be warm and welcoming. The central heating is on a timer which has generous times and there are plenty of electric heaters for you to put on if you are in when the heating is off. The kitchen/living area is lovely and very well equipped with the sofa in the living area being very comfortable. The location is fantastic - you step out and turn one way right on to the coastal path and turn the other way to walk alongside the coast to the village of Mumbles. Will definitely stay again.

"Delightful clean comfortable bungalow with delightful beaches and walks local"
We booked bungalow at short notice and was delighted at the accommodation and surroundings as well as the good communication by Paula who replied very quickly and made the process fast and easy. The bungalow has 2 bedrooms 1 double 1 single with bunk beds which are very comfortable, there's a wet room and lovely living area with a delightful conservatory which catches the sun lovely, we took 2 cars and managed to park them both no problems one on the drive and the other using the parking bay opposite neighbours and locals were lovely too, my mother is disabled and has mobility issues she found no difficulty with mobility in and around property at all, we also took our dog the bungalow is 5 minutes walk away from 2 small beaches limeslade and bracelet bay as well as the scenic gower path coastal walk, the views are breath taking mumbles village is about 10 minutes if that in a car which hosts some lovely little shops and joes ice cream parlour! If your looking for a great break away from city life this is perfect, The bungalow was very clean and made a delightful stay thank you we will be returning : )

"Lovely quiet bungalow in a great location for coastal walks."
A lovely, tidy bungalow in a great location for access to coastal walks around the Mumbles. Excellent value for money and we were able to relax in the bungalow very quickly with our 1 year old. A lively Italian restaurant is within walking distance which has fantastic views over Swansea Bay and a children's play area. Would recommend to anyone with children. Caswell bay is a short drive away, and is a gem of a beach for families.

"Very nice and well equipped cottage in excellent location"
This is a really nice cottage only yards from the coastal path which has stunning views. The cottage offered us everything we were looking for, was nice and warm despite it being freezing outside and had a very well kitted out kitchen. Thank you :-)

"not as good as expected"
although it was a nice bungalow in many respects, it has its faults the biggest problem is the parking, the forecourt is not large enough exept for very small cars and the alternative parking space opposite the bungalow was not available to use at any time, we had to park on the pavement in front of the bungalow as the road is very narrow. Secondly the wet room floor got very wet allover, as much as we tried to prevent it, as the shower curtain was too short and there was no curtain at all accross the end near the wash basin, the floor then took hours to dry even though we used the mop, this wasn't adiquate enough for the floor type which doesn't dry very quickly. Lastly we didn't expect that the second bedroom for myself or friend was going to be so tiny, it is only large enough for two children,there is no wardrobe or drawers. The double bedroom was ok , beds were very confortable. The lounge and conservatory were very confortable for the two of us but would not have been happy had we been a group of four adults, We have stayed in many bungalows and cottages, but i'm afraid this was probably the worst overall. This bungalow only large enough for a couple with two children, defo not for four adults.
Comments have been noted and where possible action taken. The parking space is adequate for an average size car including my own 4 x 4. The parking bay across the road was unusually busy at the time of these visitors stay as there were builders to another nearby bungalow. Generally speaking the bay is empty. The wet room is simply that, I do appreciate it does get wet, but we are going to resist a cubicle with all the mastic and mould that goes with it. The visitor does have a good point in that although two bedroomed its not really suitable for four adults, the bunk beds are adult in size but the room is suitable more for children. We welcome comments and constructive criticism of Gower Bungalow as it is very important to us that we provide a good and improving experience for all of our customers.
