The Feria de Málaga (Fair of Malaga) is a great cultural and artistic event celebrated in the city, which will take place from the 13th until the 22nd of August 2010.
Referring to its history, the Feria of Málaga has its origins in the commemoration of the incorporation of Malaga to the Crown of Castilla by the Catholic Kings, Fernando and Isabel, who went to the city the 19th of August in 1487, which was retaken and they recovered the image of the Virgin of the Victory for the city. Since then, there have been parades in the bullring of Málaga (La Malagueta) by great masters of the bullfighting.
Before midnight, the people from Malaga and the rest of the fair visitors are all in the Playas de la Malagueta (Malagueta beaches) in order to listen to the “Pregón de la Feria” (town crier of the fair), from which the fair is inaugurated; continuing with fantastic fireworks, with many sounds and lights which last around 30 minutes.
Finally, to end this Great Southern Europe Fair, as it is internationally known, there is a big final party, which is different from the symbolic initial party in which spectacles of very famous artists and city folkloric artists are there to celebrate. This great end party finishes the fair with an amazing fireworks spectacle that illuminates the whole city of Málaga, to classic music sounds.
Don't forget to taste the delicious food that you can find in the fair, as well as good wine, Spanish jam, fried fish, tapas, and many others meals, and enjoy the great variety of music and typical dances from Andalusia which are in the fair all of the days of the celebration.

"Beautiful flat in great location"
The flat looked great in the photos but was better in real life! Beautiful, spacious, spotlessly clean, well furnished and a only about 3 minutes walk away from Plaza de la Merced - a wonderfully central location. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

"very good aparment en very friendly owners"
This is a very nice and large apartment with 2 large bedrooms, a livingroom with a bed for 2 persons, a kitchen with all options and 2 bathrooms. Staying here with 6 people is no problem. The apartment is modern and very clean. Supermarket 100 m, the center of Malaga 3 minutes walking. Very friendly owners.
