Description

Luxurious penthouse apartment with stunning views or the sea (just 200m away) and mountains. It is situated on the front tier at the Resort, giving it the advantage of being able to look out over the pool, as well as having an unrivalled view of the sea and mountains. One of the highlights of staying in this apartment is the fact that it is a penthouse, with a private roof terrace with spectacular views. This area is fantastic for sunbathing on the cushions, eating, drinking and generally relaxing.When you enter the property, the apartment opens up into a good sized kitchen and lounge area with breathtaking views. You no doubt will spend little time in this area, as the patio doors open up onto a private balcony with dinning table and 6 chairs. What better way to spend the evening than to watch the sun go down behind the mountains whilst enjoying a glass of wine....or chilled beer!The kichen is very well equipped with all essential culinary tools provided. There is a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave and oven (with grill & hob). In the lounge area there is an L-shaped settee from which you can enjoy views out to sea. The settee pulls out to make a double bed. The tv is set on an adjustable arm so can be viewed at various angles. There is also a dvd player, mini hifi and wireless internet.Bedrooms...Bedroom 1 has a good size double bed with fitted wardrobes. It has a patio door off to private balcony. Bedroom 2 has a fitted wardrobe, a double bunk bed with an extra pullout bed which can make into a double giving 3 sleeping places in total. For larger families/group visits, the sofa in the lounge also pulls out into a double bed, so in total 7 people can comfortably sleep in the apartment.Bathroom.. A luxurious walk in shower with wash basin , cupboard space under, vanity unit and toilet.

“Wonderful apartment in Makrigialos”

To week holiday for 2 adults and 3 children. All the amenities in the apartment and access to a large roof terrace, very close to beach and town. Attentive staff and fantastic pools. Would not only recommend but also go again!!

“Wonderful stay at Lagada Beach Resort”

We have just returned from a wonderful two weeks at Lagada Beach Resort. Simon’s penthouse apartment was everything we expected it to be. There is a fantastic view from the main balcony and the roof terrace, beautiful to wake up to in the morning and the roof is perfect for star gazing at night. We had great use of the pools and they were never overly busy. The beach is about a five minute walk away and was perfect for an early morning or evening walk. If you scramble over the hill at the end of the beach and onto the next one, there is the most perfect little taverna serving beautiful food at the end. The walk into town takes about 30 minutes and is best done in the evening as it is quite hot in the heat of the day. The town had a great selection of restaurants and most are at a really reasonable price. I would say this is the most unspoilt part of the island and my highlight was going up into the hills to the Vreiko Cave which was such an adventure. We stopped off at a lovely taverna in Peifki on the way back which was owned by a lovely German couple who served really delicious rustic food and we had grapes from their garden to end the meal. We also loved our trip to Sitia and went to see a local football match while we were there. Again great restaurants here to. A go on the crazy sofa at George’s Watersports on Makry Gialos Beach was great fun for the kids. The staff at Lagada Beach were extremely friends and very helpful, we loved going to the little cafe on site, great for breakfast. The kids thoughly enjoyed the movie night which was laid on one evening at the cafe. All in all we had an amazing two week stay and have made some wonderful memories. If you are looking for unspoilt Crete, this is definitely the place to go.

“NEW LUXURY RESORT AND UNSPOILT VILLAGE”

The Bayview Resort is luxurious with several three storey blocks ( with various apartment sizes) surrounding a large central multiple pool area . There are also a few bungalows poolside . It is unfinished so you may have - as we had - some internal building work . Not too disturbing . Chris and Anja manage the resort . They are Dutch and are ever available , helpful and knowledgeable. We stayed in a 2 bed roomed 'penthouse' apartment which has a roof garden with sofa like seating , plenty sunbathing space and stunning views over mountains and sea . The penthouse was spacious for 2 , compact for 2 adults and two children . The village of Makrigiapolis ( there are various spellings) is about a kilometre away on a secondary unlit road. It has a good beach and a 'board' walk with restaurants and bars . In April it was quiet . I intend to separately write up for Trip Advisor some of the restaurants . In general they served good simple inexpensive food with welcoming staff . There are two in nearby villages - one with a 'Grandmas Kitchen' - that are so good that I shall not be divulging their names !You can have fun trying out several village tavernas until you find them or you may find other good ones instead ! There are large interesting towns with good shopping within 30 minutes eg Sitia There are local gorges for great short walks . There are totally deserted beaches within walking distance of Bayview through the fields . I feel that this place is a perfect marriage of a new luxury development and an unspoiled village . I never return to places as there is a lot of world still to see . I am returning to Bayview in June and probably October as well . Enough said!

We went wanting to recharge our batteries and spend time together without rushing around. My partner and I enjoy being outdoors and being active. We found the perfect mix of sunbathing, gorge walking, eating out and relaxing in the complex. The apartment has everything you could want and is very comfortable. The roof top terrace was a real attraction for us. We sunbathed there at times and enjoyed a romantic glass or 3 of wine while soaking up the sunset in the evening. The views are breathtaking. A car is a must to get out and explore and get to the better restaurants, but we did a lot of walking from the complex and found remote gorges where we rarely met another person. We will definitely return.

How do damage deposits work?
